A candle for Leon - 9/14/2009 10:27 PM ( #1 )
Hello, everyone!

This morning my husband Leon lost his balance and fell backwards. He has lacerations in his scalp, abrasions and bruises but so far no fracture has been found for which Iam most grateful. He does have a painful shoulder which needs further evaluation. I was with him all day in the E.R. and then in his room in the hospital.
For those who don't know his story let me mention that he is 94 years old, broke his hip two years ago and had hip-replacemnt surgery last year.

I'll see tomorrow how we will proceed.

Please, light a candle for him in his group "Leon", and keep him in your prayers!

Thank you all so much!

Love,
Edda
Peace and joy!

Edda, I went and lit a candle for Leon in his group tonight. I hope he's not seriously hurt. I wanted you to know that both of you are in my prayers.

(there's no hug icon, so I had to make my own below. I'm including a hug for both of you, too.)

Edda, Dear,

I am so sorry about Leon's accident.  Please God, it is nothing serious.  I will start my reminder to you from a couple
of years ago.  Do take care of yourself.  You know when he gets home, he is going to need your help.  Know that you both are in my heart and in my prayers.  Special prayers at Mass tomorrow morning.

((((((((((((((((((Edda & Leon )))))))))))))))))

Much love and prayers
Betty

Edda, Dear,

You need to be in bed.  I'm sure you are concerned about Leon but you must get your rest
dear one.  At least go to bed and rest even if you can't sleep.  Will tuck in some prayers that you fall asleep.

Dear Edda,

I lit a special candle in my heart as soon as I read of Leon´s accident. Being busy with several people here though it is only now that I have the quiet time necessary for a proper reply and a candle in the candle group... I keep praying for both Leon and you that you may soon have reason to be grateful for his fast recovery.

Much Love to both of you,
Juliana

Tonight I am grateful that we were able to bring Leon home. I say "we" since my kind neighbor picked us up with her jeep. He does have a separation of his left collar bone from his breast bone but this should heal with time and movment.

Again, thank all so much for your candles, prayers and good wishes!

Much love,
Edda
Peace and joy!

Dear Edda . . .
This is the first thread I visited this morning . . .
I am so very grateful for this good news.
Prayers answered, but also prayers continue
that Leon might fully recover and heal back into strength,
and that you are able to get some help,
so that you are less burdened
and can get the rest you need
in order to care for him the best . . .
you are so very much in my heart, dear Edda
with much love . . .

I'm thankful to hear Leon's back home, Edda.    As lilsparrow mentioned above, "Prayers answered, but also prayers continue. . ." I pray Leon recovers fully; I pray you get help so you can care for him without being overworked.
