Today would of been David's 51st birthday and I had a craft show so that kind of helped me cope.  I bought some pumpkin tarts at the supermarket down the street from the craft show and a few of the people that knew David celebrated his birthday with the tarts.  There were a few tears shed but I do believe they were tears of healing.
 
I have been in touch with dear Sandra whom I now call by dearest friend from across the pond and she has my permission to let you know what is going on if I cannot post myself.  I have been very busy with EZ and tomorrow (Monday) he has an appt. with a neuro vet in the morning.

Pumpkin Tarts are about the size of tassies - pumpkin pie filling with some whipped cream icing on top.  BTW they are yummy.

EZ's vet visit went well and he has been cleared for a dental also his neuro vet called about his blood work and the level is good at 29 so we do not have to worry right now about liver damage.  We are heading for day 19 seizure free where with his last 3 seizures it was 14 and 15 days apart.  I hope this new system is going to work

Dearest Beryl, you and David have never been far from my heart and mind. I am sorry that I have not posted to you in awhile. I have been going through my own grief and some issues in my own life.  Please know that I am here for you. I am lighting a candle for you and David. We had another seizure free day and we are up to 19 but who counting.  He loves sleeping in my bed and is usually in bed with me at night.  I now only keep him in the bedroom that way if he has a seizure (which I hope not) then I do not have to worry about the other two attacking him..

I think that there are lot of things that has helped EZ to be seizure free so far
 
1) Prayers
2) Candles
3) increasing his medication
4) Getting Thyroid medication
5) Changing the schedule of medicating him to every 12 hours instead of with meals - cream cheese does wonders to get them medicated

Hello just to let you know Ez is in the hospital he had 3 seizures in 7 hours so they are keeping him for observation.

EZ started having seizures at 8:45 pm Thursday evening, the next one Friday morning at 12:45 and then again at 3:45 am.  I took him to the complex where the ER vets are and the speciality vets are.  I really lucked out as EZ's neuro vet was on site and he saw him.  He decided to admit him for observation, started Potassium Bromide (sp?), put in an IV .  Called this evening and he is doing well and if not complications can come home in the morning.  She said he has a disgusted look on his face.  Poor boy is probably wondering where all his boo boos came from - his legs are scraped and he has an abrasion on his face all from the seizures.
 
Thank you for prayers and candles.  BTW I finished St. Francis wall hanging and it is on its way to the Priest of St Francis who also has been praying for EZ and who prayed for David and all of our fur kids that needed help.   I will try and take a picture of the other one that will be put up for auction to benefit Fast Friends Greyhound Rescue

Thank you for the update! I hope EZ remains now seizure free and will be back home with you! I can imagine that he can't understand why he is being shaved and poked. At least it sounds as if he isn't giving the vets a hard time!

Edda - some dogs are the same way the hide under beds, etc and on the way into the vet it takes 2 men and a boy to get them inside the door
 
No call from the vet last night so I am assuming that he will be released this morning.  Will keep you posted or keep in touch with Sandra and she  has permission to post for me.
