Hello Everyone, I have not been here since Dec 2007 when I happned upon this site while seeking prayer online when I was faced with possible homelessness. A lot has happned since and I apologize for not coming back to report that the situation had been rectified in January 08. In fact, I am still living here and had another inspection yesterday that went without a hitch. I want to thank God and everyone else who prayed, encouraged me and supported me during a very painful time of sorrow and uncertainty in my life. I would also like to share that I do have a candle lit and a friend started a candle group called "WUAH". Prayers are needed for my 86year old Daddy who is beside himself as his 4 year old companion kitty is in the hospital and currently being tested for feline lukemia. It pains me so to see my Dady so sad. I really do not understand and honestly doubt the cat has feline lukemia since he was tested before and does not go out or interact with other cats. I have to pray and believe that all will be well. Would all be so kind as to believe and pray wth me? I believe in the power of prayer and I believe that with God all things are possible. I am truly needing a miracle right now. Thanks and God Bless, Donna Marie

Welcome back to the forum, dear Donna Marie. A candle is lit for your father's little companion . . . praying for a good outcome. Here is a link. http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/candles.cfm?l=eng&gi=wuah As an animal lover myself, I completely understand how much our animal companions are a very important part of our lives. They are family . . . with love . . . sparrow

Dear Donna Marie, I am a bit late in welcoming you back! I'll be glad to light a candle for your dad! Animals are such important companions to us, so I understand your father's upset. I hope the right diagnosis will be made soon, and hopefully the kitty's health restored. Love, Edda

Thank you all for the warm welcome and prayers. I am happy to announce Sandie is now back home with my Daddy. He is still not yet 100% back to health but I am believing God for a full recovery. Now I must pray for God to help me find a way with finances. When Daddy called me on Monday night and I went to his house to assess Sandie, it was quite obvious thet he would have never survived the night without medical intervention. At that point I had to ask myself what the cost of seeing Daddy with a broken heart was and knowing that this was an emergency I took all my rent and bill money and paid the animal hospital. Daddy also had given me his rent money to pay for Sandies care. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do in a given situation. The hospital wanted the money upfront. Left with a crying devastated 86yr old man who may never recover from the loss of his little buddy companion I could not ignore what God impressed upon my heart. The hospital did tell me that I probably do qualify for financial assitance which would probably take about 50% off the costs which would certainly be a blessings. I pray that I am able to get such assitance. Even still, I am confident that my actions were something that had to be done. The only other alternative would be to put the cat down. How could I ever do something like this to my Daddy? At any rate I am open to suggestions? critsism? a WWYD? ect. I had people tell me that I was being irresponsible for using all my bill money to pay for my Daddy's cat. I have no regrets for doing this. I am a firm believer in family and helping each other. Please keep me in your prayers as I will continue to pray for all of you. God Bless You, Donna Marie

Dear Donna Marie, You followed your heart and you did the right thing. Those taking issue with it probably don't have animal companions or else they would know that they are family members. Sandie is part of your Daddy's family and yours! I am glad Sandie is back home again. I do hope and pray that you will receive financial assistance for the hospital charges. Sometimes doing the right thing may look foolish to others but you have to live with yourself! I'll light another candle for both of you! Much love, Edda

I took all my rent and bill money and paid the animal hospital. Dear Donna Marie, this was an act of total Love and trust. Yes, of course you did the right thing. I do hope that you and your Daddy will get help with the bill. Also I pray that your Daddy will have Sandie for many years to come. Blessings, Jude

Dear Donna Marie . . . You must never second guess an act of unselfish kindness, which can only make you a bigger person. The money will come from somewhere. What counts ~ truly counts in the long run, is the kindness. Open your heart to the Universe and it will respond with love . . . sparrow
