Swans and other families - 10/26/2009 11:50 PM ( #1 )
How blessed am I?  To have watched this beautiful family grow to maturity.  They have grown so quickly, and are so full of confidence.

Two weeks old

Almost ready to take off on their own journeys of life

And for good measure,

I had a book when I was a boy called (I think) "The wheel on the roof"  about a town in (I think) Holland where the school children put a wagon wheel on the school roof because the nesting plsces for the local storks had been destroyed.  It was seen as being good luck to have a stork nest on your roof.

Joe, what lovely family pictures!

I found your book! I seem to remember this story from childhood too. I probably read it at school.
