I lost my mother in law last week

Hi. Its been awhile since I have been here. I posted alot about my friend D with lung cancer this year. Well, I was protecting her privacy about who she is, not knowing how much she would want me to share on the internet. She died last week and her children are all posting about it on Facebook, so I guess its ok now to say she was my second mom, my partner Rob's mother. Her name was Doris. Kelly C started a thread about this in Light a Candle last week. I just replied there too. She had a major surgery a week and a half ago. I guess the strain was too much on her weakened heart. She died last Monday. Her kids are all shook up naturally. I feel so much for everyone's loss including my own. She was wonderful to me; kind, loving and accepting of my role as a daughter and as a stepmom to her precious grandson. This is the first major loss for him. he did lose a greatgrandma a few years ago but his relationship with her was not as close emotionally. He did not know his greatgram as well. Doris left 4 kids. They are all coping as best they can but naturally very sad. I say prayers for them all everyday. Please know I appreciate any candles that have been lit for Doris and her family. Please also know I love you all, I just dont come here much anymore because its hard for me to be here. I feel so much about so many things that I get overwhelmed easily. Today I have a headache and my mental issues are acting up. I have sooo many loved ones who are ill and or troubled. I could not possibly name them all. Its very concerning. I know what is not in my control, but yet I still feel like I want to help. So praying is what I do. ... She was 74 years old......

Dear Karen . . . I am so sorry for your loss. When Kelly originally posted it, I wondered if it might be 'D' . . . I will light another candle and pray that you and your spouse's family might be comforted in your grief with much love . . . sparrow
