For all children in need!

I know this is an old thread but in times like these with little Caylee Anthony and BabyP I think it needs to be bumped up. So I am and will continue to light candles in the group CHILD, for all kids in need. Please join me, it's amazing what prayer can, so let us pray together for this cause.

I think you are right, Crystal . . .
I light a candle for all of these children.
Many of us keep candles burning . . . sometimes we "run out" as we are only allowed a certain number each day, but as someone suggested on the forum, I keep a candle lit in my home for all of those I hold close to my heart

Thank you Crystal. I will light a candle. Childen have been in my thoughts today. I used to work with children and I miss them in my life. I have been thinking about all the great moms on here who would love and nurture a child, and it is a shame that there are so many children out there who are in need of some tlc and loving parenting.  I will light a candle and say my prayers for them tonight.

My ex husband's ex girlfriend has two children in need of prayer, they are having multiple health issues. One of which may be having Christmas in the hospital. I don't know exactly what is wrong but please remember them in prayer.

Crystal, thanks for your posts. I do often think of the kids that have lost their lives to different things. Whether it be to abuse or to illness, it saddens me to know that some kids will never be able to live a long life. I especiall think of all the kids that have been killed by abuse. It saddens me to know that there are such terrible people out there who would hurt innocent children. I will light a candle for them.

Do you have a special god or goddess, Sarah?  For a long time, I had very special relationships with aspects of the Feminine Divine.  Isis and Eir were two aspects that spoke to my broken heart. I think for women it is important to be able to have a closeness to the Feminine Divine because so often, especially when God is referred to as He yet called genderless, we need to balance out the masculine and feminine for our inner healing. 

I hope sharing some of my journey may help you in your heaing journey.

Everyday kids disappear, run away. No explanation sometimes as to why, just hurt parents who live everyday looking for their child. We can help. Open your eyes and visit these sites, look at the faces and remember next time your out at the store. Bring a child home. Your New Year may have been great but for some theirs was spent next to a phone wondering if little Johnny was gonna finally call home. Or worse yet, the police to call and say we need you to come down. Help someone have a great year, think of what you would want others to do it it were your child. I will post different pictures and information of missing kids and endangered runaways, please help me keep this post up top so all can see their faces. Help bring a child home.








I put this on cafemom, trying to maybe in some way help a parent get their child back. You hear the kidnappings on the news but not much about endangered runaways so I took a shot at getting someone's face out there. Quite a few someones actually. Please pray for ALL children in need, there are so many I feel a little overwhelmed at times but if one child can be brought home because of something I may have done or by way of chain reaction then it's well worth it. I will always pray for the children in need that are on this earth. And this year I will make even more of a difference, some way, some how. Thank you all for your prayers, thank you for helping me, please continue to do so as this matter is something that is so close to my heart. May you all be blessed.

The Feast of the Holy Innocents was on December 28, but something I wrote for it several years ago is unfortunately still timely. Any day could be Holy Innocents Day.
 
HOLY INNOCENTS
 
Today, we remember the children
ordered killed by Herod,
fearful of his position as king.
Today, still, lives are being ended
before having had a chance to see
and enjoy the light of day,
children are exploited to satisfy
the grownups' greed, their desire
to exercise power and control.
Infants are killed, if they are
of the wrong sex or race,
or less perfect than expected.
 
Children and teens live on
the streets of our cities and
those abroad, abused, unwanted,
unloved - no place for them
to belong, to call home.
They beg, steal, sell drugs
and their own bodies to survive.
Some become perpetrators of the
violence they have experienced.
Many are dead on the inside,
others dying from infections,
exposure or acts of violence.
Not knowing, if they will live
tomorrow, they try to live today
in the only ways they know.
 
Infants and young children are
abused, neglected, even killed
by those expected to
protect and nurture them,
by those too involved in their
own problems, too needy to attend
to the needs of their children.
Babies are found in garbage cans -
unwanted, or placed there in
desperation by those who do not know
where to find help, or perhaps by
parents addicted and irrational.
 
These are the Holy Innocents
of our days, whose pain, whose blood
calls out to the Heart of the World.

This week there have been programs on TV about Anne Frank with accompanying footage of children in concentration camps. We need constant reminders.

Thank you Edda, so true. Sadly so many don't want to see it but I don't understand how they can ignore it when it's everywhere anymore. It's as if millions of people just have no heart or plain don't care. Fact is that I get teary eyed and my heart hurts because so many who depend on others to do for them suffer. I look at my kids and knowing no parent is perfect and that they teach me something new daily, I wonder how someone can harm a sweet innocent child. How is it they sleep at night? There are nights I can't sleep for thinking about the many faces I've seen of missing and abused children, deceased children tossed out like garbage when they are gifts from God. There are times when the little faces seem to fill my head and I simply cannot speak. The words will not come, my throat is filled with a lump that just won't go down. I pray that justice for the is done for these children, pray that someone will show them the love they need and deserve.
