TODAY, I AM GRATEFUL FOR ..........

Today I am grateful for so much inspiration received during my week of meditation. On the last evening we blessed one another with these words: "Alle guten Gaben, die in dir sind, mögen den Weg zu den Menschen finden". I´ll try a translation: "May all the good gifts within you find their way to the men and women (who need them)"? Can anyone offer a better translation, as I am not a native speaker of English?

Juliana, I think you did well. The problem is that English does not have a currently used collective term for men and women. (Most don't consider "man" any more as being inclusive.) One alternative I can think of would be, " ... to others", or to "other human beings." None sound as simple and smooth as the original.
Anyone have any other ideas?

"All mankind" sounds too much like the all inclusive "man" term.
 
How's "all of God's creatures"; now we've included the entire realm of nature.
 
TODAY I AM GRATEFUL for the subtle change of the seasons. The shifting of the predominant winds, the increased flocking of birds (especiallly the loud honking of the geese) and the general awareness of our ever changing environment.

Juliana, What a beautiful way to end your retreat So often we fail to recognize that we too are called to literally,physically bless others. Truly, I wish I had another language that was not my native tongue that could be spoken as well as you speak english. Richard gave a good translation that I guess I would merely shorten to "all of creation". Your retreat sounds like it will bring much giftedness to all you come in contact with for a very long time.

Today, I am grateful that this is supposed to be our last day of temperatures in the upper 90's. August has been a very long hot month and I am really looking forward to

the subtle change of the seasons.

Today I'm grateful for a nice gentle rain, off and on all day.  I'm feeling hopeful that we'll have a colorful autumn.  We don't get those very often, usually the heat of summer turns everything brown before autumn gets here. 
 
I'm also grateful that my boyfriend and most of his belongings are OK, after someone broke into his house.  It's inconvenient, but he wasn't home, they didn't get much and it could have been much worse.
