Today I am grateful for a sunny day for our neighborhood Victorian Garden Party.
 
I am grateful for having been able to make another trip to the farmers market yesterday morning

I am grateful today for a dry and sunny day
 
For washing dried outside
 
For apples from the garden and blackberries from the hedgerows. The two cooked together and served with custard....yum!
 
For fresh blackberries, apples and yogurt, whizzed into a smoothie for breakfast
 
For my feline Apple and Blackberry
 
For my email FINALLY sorted (fingers and toes crossed this time)
 
For the patient friend who sorted it
 
For tv and recorded folk music films to enjoy at leisure
 
For my waiting bed where I think I shall sleep well

Love is the only way

Tonight I am grateful for a mother who so many decades ago when I was
just a little one made me learn how to cook; for a new recipe for breakfast
that I was able to change before making and that became a quick "favorite";
for the creative outlet of cooking those "whatever suppers" --whatever is
in the frig and to be asked--"Did you write the recipe down?"; for a tired aching
body from hard work that tells me I am still capable of doing hard physical work; for a warm fragrant cup of coffee as I sit writing this; for music in all its many forms that feeds my spirit--(to borrow from Sparrow) for "ear candy", for all
the many forms of "eye candy" that appear in "Beauty" from so many talented
photographers; for seeing a post from Lynn and Isabella; for Sparrow's  faithfulness of daily posting a gratitude list which, when quickly scanned reminds me of many things for which I, too, have grattitude; for the ability to take long slow deep breaths and the calmness that it brings; for these small round circles of glass perched upon my nose which allow me to read; and do so many other things; most of all, i am grateful to be able to open the present of a new week of life.  May each moment be savored as the gift that it is.

Blessings on all who visit this forum.  May you find a gentle place of rest in our familihood.
