Today I am grateful . . .
 
~ for a massive pile of dishes done,
vegetable peelings out of the sink
and borscht made
with enough to freeze, and enough to give away
~ for a friend who bullies me
to get out of the house and away from my work
once in awhile
~ for quiet time before the craziness of the day begins
~ for the abilitiy to adjust and remain flexible
 
~ for this day, this life
with love and with gratitude . . .

inherited I think, from my mother, who for some reason, always came home from her appointments with a black eye . . .

 
Not funny dear Sparrow, but I had to smile as, until he got the hang of my particular anatomy, my acupuncturist was mortified when he gave me a black eye (twice!) when placing the needles at a spot near the inner corner of my eyes. Poor man....it was the first time it had happened for him. We both came to dread him needing to treat that particular spot, but fortunately it hasn't happened since. I seem to have a blood vessel right on the spot, which most people don't have. (I always have to be different! )

I'm glad you had a better day, and that things don't look so bleak. It is very understandable that you feel so overwhelmed, and I'm glad you feel the Love here for you and that it helps to support you.

Today I am grateful to be able to have computer access and be able to visit my family here i am grtaeful for patience which was needed tody in particular Im grateful for family who are trying to give all their resources to help me Im grateful for inspirational books messages and Im grateful for sleep which I am in need of Im grateful for the opportunity to participate in a training which will help me offer other services at the new Serenity Center Im grateful for prayers being answered slowly by my time however in Gods time Im grateful for all here

Tonight, it is late but gratitude persists.
Gratitude for situations in which I could step back
    and realize how much the Sculptor has chipped away
    of the weak parts of the sculpture and that this chipping away
    has only made the sculpture stronger and more true.
Gratitude for a hot cup of fresh coffee that brings comfort at this late hour;
    for a soft bed with warm covers that is quietly waiting to give its support
    and sustenance;
    for thankful one and for all who posted snaps today that invited those long
    slow deep breaths of beauty and peace to be inhaled.

Dear Lynn, it is good to see that things have improved a little for you.  Please know that we are just as grateful to have you in our lives and WE are truly honored to have you call us family.
Sparrow,I smiled as I read about the massive pile of dishes left from making borscht.  It must be
my age as more and more during fall and winter, nothing is quite so satisfying as a good bowl of home made soup.  And so the "squirreling" has begun of providing individual servings of various kinds to be stored in the "freezing tree" to be retrieved on those cold dark days.
JudeI am grateful for your good weather that allowed your outing and snaps.
Barbara, it is good to see you able to post once again.  Prayers continue for you, your work and your family.
Gratitude to the Holy One for the gift of all of you who, by your own gratitudes help to remind me of all I have to be grateful for.

photos of tea rooms and such...all so peace inspiring Im grtaeful to be attending a training and overnight with my mentor this week end Im grateful for health for Joshua and myself now grant me more grace and patince needed Im grtaeful for my daughter who is sheltering me and Joshua as i watch him while Dina works despite her own great anxiety about her helping me Im grtaeful my son in law has set up this computer and space for me to use Im grateful for not smoking 2 years despite greta stress and Im grateful grateful for being grateful having the faith to continue on despite remaining financial struggle and no home what a miracle is in the works....

James is free from his illness 'for now'
 
I have my health
 
this week is over
 
I am fortunate to be able give to others
 
that I allowed Jesus to 'sustain me' when I needed to be 
 
I bumped into one of my sisters
 
I did not eat any chocolate
 
many prayers and candles were lit for me and my family
 
I can give love as well as recieve it
 
my friends operation went well
 
I find inner peace when I am snapping
 
I know when enough is enough
 
the little baby who fell under a train was not killed or even injured
 
that miracles do happen
 
my grief has taught me many things
 
love never dies only grows and grows
