Edda, I was sorry to read about the blisters and sores. It seemed that the surgery would finally give you both a little peace. Know that prayers will continue for both of you. Hopefully the promise of Spring will also carry with it the promise of healing.

Thank you, Vicky, for thinking of us. Unfortunately, the blisters are still appearing. We are now changing one of Leon's medications to see if it is the cause of the problem.

Jude, thank you for your candles and concern! Today, it is three months since Leon's surgery. This should be the end of the restrictions usually imposed after hip replacement surgery to allow for complete healing of the joint. We are waiting for the doctor to call and confirm this step.

Edda, the 3 months since Leon's surgery seem to have gone much quicker (though possibly not for you) than the 3 months you were waiting. Incredible!

Edda, I pray that Leon's blisters are beginning to heal. They must have been very painful.
I hope that you will be able to enjoy the nice weather that the Chicago area will have tomorrow.
Thank you for continuing to light candles for Jacob, he is doing great and is now 11 lbs.

Dear Vicky, I am happy that Jacob is thriving! This evening Leon was able to come to church with me using his scooter, the first Sunday mass in over a year. His blisters heal but new ones appear. They are not painful but changing the dressinngs is quite exhausting for both of us. Othewise Leon is doing well.
