more 'Eye  ' now I have stopped

first my beloved roses

I liked the sun on this baby pink rose..

and this one seemed so bright ....

So pure..

it's heart..

I thought these were different..

I met a lovely man today he invited me into his

garden to take some photo's bless him,he had
seen me with my camera several times

Look at this brown flower, the nice man told
me it is called a 'Chocolate flower,it smells very
sweet and looks amazing I think.

side view

I found this one there too it's so delicate looing...

look at his back I have not seen a flower like this before..

I found these two next door

Then I moved on

I came across a cherry tree and it reminded

me of Juliana,it's funny really because not so
long ago I would have munched these
cherries but now I could not stop snapping
them ...as you can see

I thought the leaves were so lovely as well..

and the ones that are not so ripe I loved the contrast ..

Lovely colours....

I came across this sign our loved ones are with us always         ...

and I bumped into this fellow on the way home

sandra,
this is a song that you remind me of with all the gloriously beautiful photos you so graciously post

paul simon kodachrome

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujhdf9_IO4w

Words & music by paul simon

When I think back
On all the crap I learned in high school
Its a wonder
I can think at all
And though my lack of edu---cation
Hasnt hurt me none
I can read the writing on the wall

Kodachrome
They give us those nice bright colors
They give us the greens of summers
Makes you think all the worlds a sunny day, oh yeah
I got a nikon camera
I love to take a photograph
So mama dont take my kodachrome away

If you took all the girls I knew
When I was single
And brought them all together for one night
I know theyd never match
My sweet imagination
And everything looks worse in black and white

Kodachrome
They give us those nice bright colors
They give us the greens of summers
Makes you think all the worlds a sunny day, oh yeah
I got a nikon camera
I love to take a [style="color: blue ! important; font-family: "times new roman",serif; font-weight: 400; font-size: 15px; position: static;"]photograph
So mama dont take my kodachrome away

another "ear candy" that i could not resist from stevie wonder

i just called to say i love you

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PY45DkaP9Ls

No New Year's Day to celebrate
No chocolate covered candy hearts to give away
No first of spring
No song to sing
In fact here's just another ordinary day

No April rain
No flowers bloom
No wedding Saturday within the month of June
But what it is, is something true
Made up of these three words that I must say to you

I just called to say I love you
I just called to say how much I care
I just called to say I love you
And I mean it from the bottom of my heart

No summer's high
No warm July
No harvest moon to light one tender August night
No autumn breeze
No falling leaves
Not even time for birds to fly to southern skies

No Libra sun
No Halloween
No giving thanks to all the Christmas joy you bring
But what it is, though old so new
To fill your heart like no three words could ever do

I just called to say I love you
I just called to say how much I care, I do
I just called to say I love you
And I mean it from the bottom of my heart

I just called to say I love you
I just called to say how much I care, I do
I just called to say I love you
And I mean it from the bottom of my heart, of my heart,
of my heart

I just called to say I love you
I just called to say how much I care, I do
I just called to say I love you
And I mean it from the bottom of my heart, of my heart,
baby of my heart

Thankful one

Re:Today, I'm grateful for beauty... - 7/11/2009 1:05 AM ( #2785 )
sandra,
i remember a time a year or so ago and i was posting photos rapidly

edda posted to me once that she had trouble keeping up and found herself a few pages behind with the photos i had posted

i think you are posting so many beautiful photos that sometimes i have had to go back and review pages of beautiful photos

i appreciate all your efforts to bring a little beauty in my world

i hope you are "having the time of your life"

in the vein of "ear candy" i ran across this song and thought of you

http://www.youtube.com/...cRQo&feature=related

Boy: Now I've had the time of my life
No I never felt like this before
Yes I swear it's the truth
and I owe it all to you

Girl: 'Cause I've had the time of my life
and I owe it all to you

Boy: I've been waiting for so long
Now I've finally found someone
To stand by me

Girl: We saw the writing on the wall
As we felt this magical fantasy

Both: Now with passion in our eyes
There's no way we could disguise it secretly
So we take each other's hand
'Cause we seem to understand the urgency

Boy: just remember

Girl: You're the one thing

Boy: I can't get enough of

Girl: So I'll tell you something

Both:This could be love because

(CHORUS)
Both: I've had the time of my life
No I never felt this way before
Yes I swear it's the truth
And I owe it all to you
'Cause I've had the time of my life
And I've searched through every open door
'Til I found the truth
And I owe it all to you

Girl: With my body and soul
I want you more than you'll ever know

Boy: So we'll just let it go
Don't be afraid to lose control

Girl: Yes I know whats on your mind
When you say:
"Stay with me tonight."

Boy: Just remember
You're the one thing

Girl: I can't get enough of

Boy: So I'll tell you something

Both: This could be love because

(CHORUS)
Both: 'Cause I had the time of my life
No I've never felt this way before
Yes I swear it's the truth
And I owe it all to you
'Cause I've had the time of my life
And I've searched through every open door
Till I found the truth
and I owe it all to you

*Instrumental*

Boy: Now I've had the time of my life
No I never felt this way before

(Girl: Never Felt this way)

Boy: Yes I swear it's the truth
and I owe it all to you

Both: 'Cause I had the time of my life
And I've searched through every open door
Till I've found the truth
and I owe it all to you

Both: "cause I've had the time of my life
No I've never felt this way before
Yes I swear it's the truth
And I owe it all to you

Wow!
Sandra!
I responded to Thankful one's post
and did not realize there was a whole page ahead of me.
Your pictures are always so breathtaking . . .
I know you have heard it before,
but you must do something with this talent!
If you look back carefully,
you will see
that the flower you could not identify
is one of liliwings' precious columbines,
only in different colours . . .
and I love all the variations in the hues of the cherries.
Yes indeed,
they made me think of Juliana too!
ps. I am not migratory . . .
I like to live where the seasons change

everything counts...

i'm so relieved that sandra and some of you have enjoyed sandra's video

i admit i was pretty nervous about posting it because everyone's idea of humor is so individualistic and i never want to offend anyone - especially publicly and without their consent

this is 4:08 of relaxing butterfly photos

a 7 minute video of relaxing music - one of the best relaxing sound clips i've found

http://www.youtube.com/...PDKG6bB0&feature=fvw

god bless all of you today and may you see a smile on someone's face that helps you appreciate the beauty of another person's life force energy

i saw a nice smile this week at the doctor's office on an older black heavy set woman who had about 100 black moles on her upper visible neck and face

i asked her where she got such a beautiful smile - from her mother or her father

she said her father and gave me an even nicer smile

i said to please tell him thanks for me

she broke out into a wonderfully sweet smile and said she sure would

it made my day to see the beauty in her smile and to help her see it as well

Dear Sandra,

Thank you for your beautiful pictures, especially the ones of the cherries - and for thinking of me! Let me tell you - and anybody who reads this, something that made me smile today. The bell rang - I went to open wondering who it might be - there were three young boys outside, two of whom I knew. One of them was holding a little basket toward me, saying, "For some poor children!" They were asking for money! I explained that collecting money for poor children was a job for grownups and that I thought they were trying to collect it for themselves. They didn´t contradict, so I said, "Come and have some cherries instead, there are so many this year". And so they did, enjoying them. Maybe they´ll work in sponsoring and fundraising later on!
