Jude and Buba, thank you for your photo tours of contrasting weather conditions.  As Autumn fades, can snow be far behind.
Marie, I love the picture of the Chicago River and the Willis Tower.  Again
it reminded me of another fear conquered.  Please, if you can, some pictures of
The Magnificient Mile with the Christmas lights up.(the Magnificient Mile is along Michigan Avenue where all the really really expensive shops like Tiffany's, Gucci, etc are and is usually beautifully decorated at Christmas.)
Sparrow, I too love the foggy pictures.
Thank you all for continue to post the beauty of creation that surrounds all of us.

In front of this cold building people who live in it made their own little flower's garden:

I posted pictures of this little garden about 2 weeks ago and flowers are still blooming, these are from this morning:

Met a city-cat who was watching at pigeons:

Autumn tree- I like this contrast : yellow leaves and almost black tree...

You all make me laugh with all of this phone talk!
The jitterbug dance I think,
was more in my sister's era.
She was a few years ahead of me . . .
Thank you Marie,
for beautiful and interesting Chicago pictures . . .
I am afraid
that in my memory,
Chicago was not that beautiful,
but dirty, cold and windy most of the time!
I do remember the Christmas lights,
dear Betty,
and how magical Michigan Avenue looked during the holidays,
but did not know it was called the 'magnificent mile'.

Buba dear . . .
You have some pretty tall buildings in Novi Sad . . .
and some lovely autumn flowers.
I am with you on the colour contrast
of the yellow leaves and black trunks.
That is how my little forest looked last week.
It is dazzling after the rain,
when all of the colours are sharpened.
As Sandra has said,
'thank you for my morning treats....'
with love . . .

Buba thank you for the pictures of the pretty flowers. So refreshing to see and enjoy. I especially like the burgundy mums, so bold in color as they all are, unique as created.

Dear Betty, my adventure downtown started out to see the holiday lights. The train ride down there was a first train ride, and a train ride I have not taken for more than 35 years. Getting off at Union Station how could one miss the Willis Tower. So my other half guided the trip to the tower. After seeing your photos of the clear look out I was apprehensive. Well, the fear was not as important as the wonderful view. We looked out all three glass lookouts. It was dark by that time and the lights were spectacular, but not good to snap with my camera. Next trip is down the magnificent mile as it started out to be.

lilsparrow. Yes the city is extremely windy, much of the time. Last year while downtown my hat blew off my head and across 4 lanes of traffic and got run over twice, and it was still wearable. LOL

Today I could enjoy myself about a perfect sunny weather.

So I did a walk and visited places I like to stay if I want to be alone.

The church was built the first time in the seventeen century...

it was warm out and I have spent a lot of time to make many photos...

Isabella, it is so good to see
you posting pictures again.
 Iespecially like this one.
The Mother of Perpetual Help
has long been a favorite.  What
an exquisite altar.  What special
peace filled places to go for a
long meditative walk.

Buba,
Your flowers are beautiful.  I have to agree with Jude. The contrast between the yellow
of the leaves and the black of the tree trunk is really eye catching.  After much moisture, the
tree trunks look so black that every other color really stands out.  Amazing that you took the picture
with your cell phone.
Marie, It was so good to read that you came into town on the train after 35 years and then went out on the ledge of the Willis
tower.  The views were spectacular during the day and Chicago has a georgeous skyline at night, it must have been unbelievable.
Will have to go out on it at night the next time.  Good for you that you did it.

Betty, I´m sorry to report I cannot even see a red x - there is only a lot of empty space... This time I´ll refrain from saying whose fault I think it is...

Dear Isabella,

Thank you so much for the yummy ice cream.  This is my favorite time of year for ice cream.  It is the only time that
they make Peppermint.  They always have mint chocolate chip, but only have peppermint with so many
pieces of peppermint candy in the vanilla ice cream that it turns the ice cream bright pink.

THESE ARE NOT MY PHOTOS!!  I just received them in an email.  They are from the National Geographic Year's Best Photographs.  This seemed like the perfect place to share them.
