Hi there

Why is it, that not all candles is showing?

In my case there is never showing more than 24 candles, even if 29 candles are lit according to the headline of my group.

Group is KASPR

Welcome to the forum, Michael!  I am sorry you have trouble with lighting candles. According to the third thread from the top on this forum, you may light 24 candles a day, but no more than 100 in a week. Perhaps you have exceeded that limit. Occasionally, candles may not appear even though we seem to have followed the rules. Every few days I run out of candles and have to remember that my intention and attention count more than seeing my candle.

I think you misunderstand me.

The way I read the rules ( very fair rules ): 1 person may light 24 candles pr. day up to 100 candles pr. week.

What I experience is that the group never shows more than 24 lights. Candles are lit from a number of participants not just from a single person.

An example:
The other day the top of the page said 30 candles, but a count showed only 24 candles. When I look at other groups, there can be several pages with candles.

I just wonder if I am doing something wrong.

Michael, I am sorry if I misunderstood you. I doubt that you are doiing anything wrong. I have now checked your candle group several times and each time the number of candles written on top has matched the number of candles lit. I have noticed in the past that the number of countries from where the candles originate is not always accurate. Perhaps the web site can't keep up with the huge number of candles lit.

When you follow this link, I have written a danish message to those who light candles in group KASPR. It is a very nice feature. But it would be so much nicer if the rest of the pages you reach, following my link, were translated into danish. I would very much like to make these translations.

I don't know if you are the right one to adress about this, Hildegaard. If not maybe you know who I have to write to instead.

I just wanted to add that even if you are not at your candle limit, sometimes it takes several minutes for the candles to show up once they have been lit.

I have found out following about the 'missing' candles:

There are 2 'magic' numbers, 24 and 32

24 is max. candles appearing on one grouppage, regardless the total ammaount of candles in that group.

32 is the ammount of candles that releases a second grouppage.

An example:

Group 'A' has 1 to 24 lit candles. All candles are shown on the groups page.

Group 'B' has 25 to 31 lit candles. Only 24 candles are showing. If you refresh the page, sometimes the missing candles will appear, but others will disappear. The hidden candles are not gone, just hidden.

Group 'C' has 32 to 48 lit candles. 24 candles shown pr. grouppage. Now there has been added another page of candles.

I have not figured out what happens if there are more than 48 lit candles.
