Thank you Emil for your kindness.  This families life is a struggle right now - but it's good.  I know the Lord loves us. 
I have started a candle for my daughter-in-law, Shannon, who I adore.  "SLK"  I pray she'll be ok during this time, while Joel is away.  She has a hard job, managing the home & children without him.  Life in the armed forces for family life is very hard.  Please keep Shannon's & Joel's candle going.  For Love & PEACE.

I pray all will be home very soon.    Lord in Heaven - keep your shield of light all around Joel - protect him.  Send your army to guard our children, husbands, wives.  Protect them; bring all back, unscared to their families.  In Jesus, Amen.

I hope and pray that your son will be kept safe in Iraq, together with all our troops.  My nephew will be heading for Afghanistan soon, my heart is heavy for him too.

I try to light a candle for Joel's safety each time I get in here, which is not as often as I'd like, but please know, he is my prayers every day, as are you.

I thank all of you for your prayers....
I haven't been on the site for a few weeks.  Since Joel left, I've felt numb & I've cried a lot.  But w/God's help, I feel much stronger; Joel is in HIS hands.  I know he'll be safe & returning to us. 
Lynn - thank you for all your encourgement; love & prayers.  Your a sweet-heart.  I truly don't know how you have made it through.  You have touched my heart.  Thank you for caring & being the strong person that you are.
To let you all know, Joel is in the City of Mosul, close to the Syrian border.  At least he's not in Baghdad - that's a good thing.     With all my heart - I just want my whole family back together.  That is my prayer!

Thank you, my nephew is called Matthew he is in the Royal Marines, British Navy.

May God keep your son safe and all our troops who are fighting in this terrible war.

My oldest son, Todd has been in Iraq, now in Germany and was subject for transfer again...my prayer group prayed for a safe place for him and he is now headed for Italy. I will light a candle for Joel...for a safe place and I will light a candle for all our troops. God Bless!

Thank you Trust I am.  It means a lot.   Joel was in Iraq in 2003 when the invasion occured.  When he came home he put in for Japan.  Everyone said he wouldn't get it - we prayed day & night - Joel went to Japan for 3 years.  His tour was up in November 2006.  He came home December 3, 2006; stationed @ Ft. Riley, Ks. - Now he in Iraq.  So quick he had to return. 
At present he is on a mission - we don't know where & he can not have contact w/his family.  I fear for him.  So thank you very much for your prayers.  I will pray for your son too. An also, that Mr. Bush stops this war.

We are still waiting to hear from Joel - the wait is endless to me.  I just want to hear his voice - that he's returned from this mission & all is well.
Shannon is coming w/the Kids 6/18.  Very happy she's coming. It will be good for her to get away.  Pray for Peace & the return of our loved ones.
