Greeting... I have co-led workshops and retreats with Bro. David since 1991. We led a workshop titled, "Nature and Contemplation" at Esalen Institute which we last led together in 2005. I continue to lead this program without Bro. David once or twice each year. In this program I introduce Bro. David's model of what contemplation might be as well as other teaching inspired by Bro David. You can find out more here:
Nature and Contemplation (June)
Nature and Contemplation (September)
Gratefully,
Steven Harper

Stephen,
Welcome! Welcome! Welcome!

I am glad to meet a fellow who appreciates the natural beauty of the world and draws sustenance from the personal connection to the wildness of nature.

Your website is great and I hope you can share more of your journeys with us. I thought I would share some pictures of the beautiful place where you live and work.

Steven, I, too, welcome you! I am delighted that you joined this forum. I hope you will share with us more of your experience and insights. I can only join you in imagination and spirit on your contemplative hikes. At this time, living in a big city, I have to be content to watch the birds in the tree in front of my window, the antics of the squirrels, and whatever grows and blooms in my neighborhood.

Thankful one, thank you for these beautiful pictures!

Edda

Thankful one... thank you for your many posts... I know the location of most of the photos you posted and I appreciate your welcome. Hildegard, thanks too for your welcome. The wild beauty of nature can be found anywhere...
I am still learning my way around this site and its features although I have used the candle site for a long time.
Thanks again, steven
