Excellence and consciousness raising are interrelated processes. And so long as we continue to do more and more meaningful, experiential research in this respect we will necessarily proceed towards the Promised Land, the ultimate concern - optimum realization of Self, and full-fruition of inner-realization. It seems, too, that the time is becoming increasingly ripe for these higher levels. Obviously, to the degree that we evolve as individuals we can also help and facilitate others to do so likewise. As we become evermore centered and enlightened, we can serve as models or vehicles for those less aware, for those less evolved to rise higher and higher in their level of consciousness and being, to taste deeper and deeper truths, make ever-closer union with the Real. Integralism in the deepest sense means that matter and spirit must be brought together evermore closely and, above all, not dichotomized or separated as has been the case in the past by split religions, crippled science, schizoid seekers. In other words, each of us can be co-participators, co-creators, of a New man, a New society, a New world in the image of the spirit. Indeed, if we dichotomize we pathologize parts that should be a whole. This, after all, is also Ignorance of another kind in that it doesn't harmonize and unify and integrate but rather simply continues to divide and estrange; thus prevents true integral wholeness, true integral Truth. The highest, sublimest synthesis is a product of supermind or "cosmic consciousness" (overmind) as we roughly know it in the West. However, no one here except for Teilhard approximates Aurobindo's evolutionary perspective in its consummate, integral sense. The crux of Sri Aurobindo's teachings is how can the supramental Force be brought down to humanity? Most of life's problems would genuinely be dissolved, could truly be resolved, particularly the existential ones, as we step out into the light and become the Light. Evolution and our ultimate destiny seem to be deeply intertwined, especially in terms of Purna yoga or Supermind. This too when you ponder sensitively and perceptively makes an extraordinary lot of sense. As an organic process of transcendence, yoga has also may parallels with the Mystic Way and bhakti or the Path of Devotion. But Purna yoga is a dynamic synthesis of Jnana - Bhakti - Karmayogas making it integral and holistic in that it takes in the mental - feeling - volitional aspects of the human being. And man is not truly, fully human till he becomes one with the transcendental as well and brings it down making it an integral part of the whole fabric of his very being (ontopsychosomatic entity or continuum). That is to say, this organic process can only be gradually established through a deep and wholehearted aspiration, i.e., more and more self-opening and self-offering to the Divine Force (prana, vital force); a rejection of anything that is not a total dedication to this ideal or to the spiritual life and goal; and, a total surrender to the Divine Force and its power to infuse an transform our nature from the human to the Divine.
