I never met Jason, nor his mum, Betty Anne, but she is part of a group which I cherish and which cares a lot about its members.

This message came through a few hours ago:

Can you please ask the group to pray for my 20 year old son Jason. He was in a horrific car accident last night and is in critical condition. He has severe trauma to his neck and underwent 8 hours of surgery. We already know that he is paralyzed from the waist down and there is no hope that he will ever walk again. He has a little movement in his arms but none in his hands so we are praying that he may recover some use of his upper body. He was able to talk to us before his surgery so there is no head trauma but he is now in an induced coma and will probably remain that way for several days. The specialist thinks he will remain in ICU for Weeks, then months in the general hospital for more months and then more months in the rehab hospital. The hospital is in Ottawa an hour away.

I started a group called "Jason".

Dear Chiara, Jason's mom's name so jumped out at me, the same first name only without the "e" on Ann. Please let her know that there is no way that I could forget to pray for another "Betty Ann" and her son Jason. May Mary's Mom (Ann) hold them tenderly in her arms.

Bless you for caring so much for your friend, gracchietto.

I will pray for Jason and his mom, Betty Anne. That Jesus would hold them in His arms and grant that Jason be able to use his upper body. I will light a candle of hope and faith for them.
