Matter and spirit must be evermore integrated so that all of life can be transmuted and not just fragmentary parts for this is what the Supramental consciousness is all about! No splits or divisions can take place on this level because it is total unification of the Whole imperishable Being-Becoming. Man, essentially, is not just a rational animal; higher values are more important - truth, beauty, justice - with God as the supreme, greatest value. And love is, indeed, the flower - true love and compassion blossom with love as the ultimate motivation of action.

Supermind is an existential synthesis, i.e., a dynamically and fully-integrated consciousness. And superman has cosmic concern - real spirit of love - this takes mature growth and flowering and fruition...sufficient time to digest, to transform into a fully developed harvest in life.

Supermind is the highest peak of perfection known to mankind. This, of course, is a supremely difficult and formidable undertaking, but as the great mystics say, the earnest seeker will realize the goal if he perseveres, if he deeply aspires towards perfection. In Western mysticism this is referred to as the "Unitive Life," the final quest of the mystic path. Before this comes "cosmic consciousness" or the Beatific Vision, the third stage of the mystic's progress which, both here and in the East, is the reward of long and rigid self-discipline and effort - i.e., "Purification of Self," the second stage which follows "the Awakening of the Self." The final and most perfectly sublime state culminates in an experiential synthesis (resurrection, New Corpus), Supermind, beyond all ideas, principles, dialectics - the Unitive Life or Sahaja Nirvikalpa Samadhi - is when "my Father and I are one" completely, totally, ad infinitum (nondual, integral).

The Supramental creation can become a reality, a vibrant living actuality in each one of us whom earnestly and perseveringly seeks a transformed life here-and-now. This is not accomplished via some miraculous route - no mere turning of a magic wand, no Supramental hocus-pocus. But rather through an intense inner effort and a total dedication to truly remake one's self and this life over into an abode for people who are whole and spiritually enlightened rather than merely fragmented beings without any genuine hope or sincere striving for wholeness, for completion...

Unless our aspiration for the Divine is genuine, unless there is a sincere, unaffected rejection of our lower nature (physical - vital - mental) how are we ever to attain the consummate goal? - Spiritual and Supramental perfection, i.e., Supramentalisation. There must truly be an unselfish, sacrificial surrender to the Divine Force. For in this Path of Purification all corners of our being are Supramentalised by an infinity of Peace - Power - Light towards a New man, a rebirth into a New and better world impregnated by a deeper, wider consciousness from the inmost center of our being; so that, then, the depths can be joined to the surface and made over into a psychic or soul-nature (psychicisation). Spiritualisation and Supramentalisation (descent), thus, follow psychicisation (ascent) towards Supermind in the evolution (the 'missing link': nondual, transpersonal, transmental).

At the navel chakra we start with aspiration-rejection to the heart (inspiration), ie., our psychic or soul-nature which is brought to the fore achieving a deeper, higher awareness or consciousness. Thus, joining the depths to the surface (i - psychicisation -> ii - Spiritualisation -> iii - Supramentalisation). By opening up, by a self-offering and self-dedication to the Divine Force, the Divine Shakti, our throat chakra opens up and is surrendered to the Divine for subtilisation and transformation. Finally, as our head or crown chakra opens, ascent is followed by descent; consequently, our vital - physical - mental lower nature is gradually transformed, Supramentalised. In this Path of Purification greed, hatred, sloth, torpor are inexorably converted to profound love - faith - productiveness - goodwill - creative harmony.

Thankful one -> RE: The Supramental Creation (6/2/2008 12:53:17 AM)

Bernie,
While I can't pretend to understand all of the subject matter in your posts, I wanted to let you know I do very much appreciate your willingness to share.

I'd like to send you a flower of appreciation as a small gesture of gratitude for your generous attitude.

Bernie, like T.O. I don't undertand a lot of what you post either, but this bit sprang out at me.

"Unless our aspiration for the Divine is genuine, unless there is a sincere, unaffected rejection of our lower nature (physical - vital - mental) how are we ever to attain the consummate goal? "

In my experience, trying to reject our so-called lower nature is the cause of a lot of physical and mental/emotional problems, and most highly spiritually evolved people do not believe that it is necessary in the slightest to reject our physical natures in order to become spiritually 'perfect' as you suggest.

On the contrary, we are physical beings, and many of our physical experiences are very spiritual by nature. It is wrong in my opinion, (and in many others') to deny our perfectly beautiful physical natures. To separate them from other experiences is an aberration and an insult to our creator. Physical and spiritual experiences are one and the same.

We are already Divine.

Ladies, thank you for your gracious comments. So true, the material & spiritual worlds must become evermore integrated & unified in Essence...

The personality type into which we have developed early in life is less important than how we use our type as the starting point for self-development and self-transcendence...If we move toward health, we will become more integrated, able to draw on the powers of each type (Enneagram personality types) for the development of our essence and spiritual capacities.

In the opposite direction, our personality disintegrates as we gradually lose the possibility of actualizing our essence and spirit...To climb the Levels of Development toward integration always requires a struggle against everything that draws us downward.

That is why self-observation is so important: we must know which actions and desires lead toward wholeness and which lead toward fragmentation. Self-observation provides us with the wisdom to make the right choices on our path. Without it, we would be lost.
