Dear Betty,

I too say how sorry I am that Paul is in such pain and discomfort. I join others in prayer for his relief and for the wisdom of medical carers to do what is best for him.

Sending healing to him and all family.

Love, Jude

Thank you all for all your prayers and candles. I just returned from spending several hours with Paul, Praying with and for him, holding his hand and
just "being" with him. He was much more peaceful when I left.
Edda, I am sure you yourself experienced many times with little ones that no matter how much you hoped and prayed nor how hard you tried as a
doctor, it just didn't work. Thank you for your concern.
Barbara, thank you so much for the prayer to one of my patron saints. I once had it but had misplaced it and really appreciate your providing it once more. It is now printed out and since it is on the forum, it will no longer "get lost"
Gleyns, I do hope Bobi had a very special 21st birthday, and if you hear from him that it was horrible, that will help him appreciate all the more the very special birthdays I am sure you have given him. Thank you for your prayers for Paul, his family and for wisdom for the drs. One day, one moment at a time. When I left him he was very peacefully sleeping. I told him I was leaving and that I would wait until he fell asleep.
Jude, dear, thank you for your loving prayers for Paul and your gift of positive healing energy for all. Prayers continue for Gemrock and for you and your son.

Blessings on all of you for being so loving and caring in the midst of your own struggles. May we all realize that when it is the most difficult, there is truly only one set of footprints.

Yes, Betty, this is one of the hard things in medicine, realizing that our treatments are not working for a patient, especially when children suffer. I, too, learned that simply "being" with parents is so important and so much appreciated. It helps them in turn to comfort and soothe their child.

Much love and warm hugs,
Edda

Edda, Betty, I do so agree with you that just being with someone is very valuable and appreciated. People often think they should be 'doing' something, but that isn't always so.

Paul must be feeling frightened at the moment, and your loving presence Betty will have been of great comfort to him.

Prayers and healing will continue.

Love, Jude

Dear Jude and Juliana, In the midst of all the garbage, when Paul is told that there are people even in Europe praying for him, there is a slight hint of a smile, he begins to tear up and just whispers as best he can, "Please tell them thank you."

Oh Betty, bless him, bless him!! He is so welcome to our prayers. I believe in the power of distant healing, and I hope Paul feels some comfort from it.
I'll light a candle now and send some.

Love, Jude

Edda, dear, I am so sorry I called you Juliana. I can't even imagine what it must have felt like for you whenever nothing you did would seem
to help and then you would have to face the parents with the worst news any parent ever has to hear. Dear One, how much the Holy One
must have sustained you through all that tremendously heavy heart hurt. Blessings on you for having taking such loving care of so many little ones.

Dear Judy, thank you for your prayers and support. I apologize for not welcoming you when you joined the forum and am so sorry to read about your
Mom. I am sure she knows how very much you love her and only wants to love and help you. Know that you and she are held in prayer.

Dear Betty,

I am going to light another candle with my prayer for your Brother, Paul. As each one of us is unique, we all have our special approach to praying for someone, and I am sure our prayers are "heard" in their uniqueness. With me, I identify with what I experienced with my Brother. I was given the grace of being with him for a whole week, day and night, at the time of his illness. As you say, it was just "being", and I remember it gratefully.

Much Love,
Juliana

Betty, I've been out of town and out of touch, but you and Paul were in my thoughts.  I'm so sorry to hear about his pain, and I just know the best thing you can do for both of you is to be by his side, bringing him peace.  I will resume lighting candles for him and continue to keep you both in my prayers.

Love,
Lori

Lori, Edda, Jude, Sharon, Juliana, Vickey, Glenys and all who have prayed and lit candles for Paul and are continuing to do so, thank you. I have just learned that Paul is being transferred from the hospital to an interim care facility on Monday. Since he is NOT being transferred to a hospice facility, I am taking this as a positive in spite of the fact that he will be given another transfusion today and tomorrow before he moves to the interim care facility. I was with him when he told his doctor that he does not want any more chemo treatments and perhaps this is why he is moving to interim care. At times communication from my sister in law to our family becomes a bit strained so I usually try to visit when no one else is there. Thank you all for continuing to keep him in your prayers.

I'm new to the forums, but have always relied on a variety of prayer websites when my family is in need. As others have sent prayers on our behalf, we will do the same for Paul and the rest of your family. Hugs and positivity to all of you.
