Thank you all for the prayers and candles you have offered for my brother, Paul. Apparently it was not his heart but a viral infection that, because he has severe asthma, spread to his blood. He has had three transfusions so far and I believe what is called a platelet transfusion. It seems that as rapidly as the new blood/etc enters his system, the infection immediately destroys the red blood cells. I have started a candle group for him Paul

NAMASTE!

Thank you all for all your prayers and candles. The doctor said the apheresis is not working and has called a meeting tomorrow afternoon with Paul's wife and married children. Please continue the prayers. Blessings on all of you.

Bless you Betty,

I will light a candle and pray for your brother and his family.  Your prayers for others are so loving and beautiful.  I lean on hymns and there are several wonderful healing hymns.  You can find some of them online at the cyberhymnal site.

Edward Hayes Plumptre 1864

Thine arm, O Lord, in days of old
was strong to heal and save;
it triumphed o'er disease and death,
o'er darkness and the grave.
To thee they went, the blind, the dumb,
the palsied, and the lame,
the leper with his tainted life,
the sick with fevered frame.

And lo! thy touch brought life and health,
gave hearing, strength, and sight;
and youth renewed and frenzy calmed
owned thee, the Lord of light:
and now, O Lord, be near to bless,
almighty as of yore,
in crowded street, by restless couch,
as by Gennesaret's shore.

Be thou our great deliverer still,
thou Lord of life and death;
restore and quicken, soothe and bless,
with thine almighty breath:
to hands that work and eyes that see,
give wisdom's heavenly lore,
that whole and sick, and weak and strong,
may praise thee evermore.

Quick update. They did an ultra sound yesterday and found that the cancer has already spread to Paul's liver. They began chemo last night.

Quick thank you to all. Will post more individually a little later. Please continue prayers, etc.

Glenys, jude, Juliana, Edda, Sharon, Claire, Marie, and all who are praying,
Paul asked that I tell you all thank you for the prayers and candles. He is not having any adverse effects such as nausea from the chemo. Apparently the Drs. are amazed that he isn't getting horribly nauseated since that is a very normal occurrence with the type of Chemo they are giving him. Claire thank you for the words to the hymns. They are very special. I pray that your Mother has continued to improve.

May all have a very blessed and peace filled week.

Hugs and prayers,

Dear Betty,
thank you for the update. I hope knowing about our prayers are of some help to Paul, and praying that his reaction to the Chemo continues to be without unpleasant effects.

Prayers will continue.

Love, Jude
