Bless you Betty, I will light a candle and pray for your brother and his family. Your prayers for others are so loving and beautiful. I lean on hymns and there are several wonderful healing hymns. You can find some of them online at the cyberhymnal site. Edward Hayes Plumptre 1864 Thine arm, O Lord, in days of old was strong to heal and save; it triumphed o'er disease and death, o'er darkness and the grave. To thee they went, the blind, the dumb, the palsied, and the lame, the leper with his tainted life, the sick with fevered frame. And lo! thy touch brought life and health, gave hearing, strength, and sight; and youth renewed and frenzy calmed owned thee, the Lord of light: and now, O Lord, be near to bless, almighty as of yore, in crowded street, by restless couch, as by Gennesaret's shore. Be thou our great deliverer still, thou Lord of life and death; restore and quicken, soothe and bless, with thine almighty breath: to hands that work and eyes that see, give wisdom's heavenly lore, that whole and sick, and weak and strong, may praise thee evermore. -------------------- http://www.oremus.org/hymnal/f/f297.html Healing hymns Immortal Love forever full John Greenleaf Whittier1856 ------------------------- Father of Mercy, Lover of all children Francis John Moore 1935 -------------------- Silsesian Melody pub Leipzig 1842 At evening when the sun was set Henry Twills Cantica Spiritualia 1847 -------------------- From Thee all skill and science flow Charles Kingsley1871 -------------------- Father whose will is life and good for those of mortal breath Hardwicke Drummond Rawnsley 1851-1920 ----------------- Prayer for Doctors and Nurses Lord God of hosts whose mighty hand John Oxenham 1914 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
