Light a candle "JOEL" FOR ALL OUR ARMED FORCES.  OUR CHILDREN ARE DYING EVERYDAY IN IRAQ.  THE NUMBERS ARE RISING.
PRAY THE LORD WILL BRING THEM ALL HOME SAFE TO THEIR LOVING FAMILIES.

Debbie, it is a good suggestion to extend our prayers beyond family to include all in the same situation. I'll leave more inclusive messages, when I light a candle under "Joel".
Love,   Edda

PLEASE - LIGHT A CANDLE "JOEL"
FOR OUR MEN / WOMEN IN HARMS WAY.
ASK THE LORD TO BRING THEM HOME!

This happens everyday - our children are being killed!
Americans!

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) -- Four U.S. soldiers the military reported killed in an attack on the governor's office in Karbala last week were actually abducted and killed dozens of miles away, U.S. and Iraqi sources say.
The brazen assault, 50 miles (80 kilometers) south of Baghdad on January 20, was conducted by nine to 12 militants posing as an American security team. They traveled in black GMC Suburban vehicles -- the type used by U.S. government convoys -- had American weapons, wore new U.S. military combat fatigues and spoke English.
In a written statement, the U.S. command reported at the time that five soldiers were killed while "repelling the attack." Now, two senior U.S. military officials as well as Iraqi officials say four of the five were captured and taken from the governor's compound alive. Three of them were found dead and one mortally wounded later that evening as far as 25 miles east of the governor's office.
The U.S. officials said they could not be sure where the soldiers were shot after being captured at the compound. Iraqi officials said they believe the men were killed just before the Suburbans were abandoned.

Our Father,
Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy Will be done,
On earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our debts,
As we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Lord, be w/my daughter-in-law, Shannon.  She has a rough road ahead while Joel is in Iraq.  Left alone to carry on the Family will be difficult w/3 young children.  Help her Lord, to be strong & Loving.  Help me to help her in everyway.  In Jesus, Amen.

Dear Debbie,

I pray that Joel will be safe in Iraq, I pray every day that all our troops will come home and that this terrible bloody war will end.

Miracles do happen, Thank God, we in the UK witnessed a miracle a couple of weeks ago, when a Parliament in Northern Ireland was created, with the leader from both sides taking sitting side by side.  I honestly thought that I would never live to see the day when there would be Peace in Northern Ireland.

God Bless you and your family

Hello to all from Joy in Johnson City New York.  My son deployed to Iraq with the 82nd Airborne on June 6th.  He assured me that he will be back and that his PaPa Ted is his guardian angel looking out for him.  My dad survived one of worst battles in WWII "The Battle Of The Bulge" and my son said if he survived that then he will survive Iraq.  I pray everyday for all of our loved ones serving our country.  I try to honor his one request and that was to stay away from the the tv.  I know there are many parents out there that are in the same situation I'm in.  This is all new to me and I struggle to make it through the day without shedding tears.  I try to keep myself busy by focusing on daily routines but there isn't a minute that goes by that he and all the others isn't on my mind.  They are forever in my heart and always on my mind.

Hello Joy,
Your son will be back!  Have faith.  My son Joel is in Mosul, Iraq.  I pray for all our sons & daughters fighting for freedom, everyday.  We haven't heard from Joel in 2 weeks.  He was sent on a mission w/his men.  We have no idea where.  No knowing is the hard part.  All we can do is turn our children over to God - completely.  I find comfort in Psalm 91 & Psalm 121.  Also, I pray for the families - the hardship this war is causing for marriages. My daughter-in-law tells me stories of all the break ups; it's so sad.
Peace be w/you Joy.

Our young men & women who are serving in this horrible war need our love & support.  They need a good shot of encourgement from the free world that we support & believe in them.  All of our troops; From Canada, England, Ireland, Australia, US, Germany, France..  Pray for Peace!   Write to your soldier - send your love; prayers & confidence in their missions.  Send cards; letters from home & the world - give them hope.
Let them know how they are appreciated!

I believe there is enough love in the world to heal the wounds of war. Fire the Grid is a site that makes me feel like I can do something. The only way to end this atrocity is in each of our hearts. My prayers are with each and every soldier, ours and theirs.

Our soldiers are always in the forefront of all my prayers. Enough of our young men and women have been lost to this atrocity. So many families are suffering. Bless them all, in the Lord's name. Amen. Lynn xo
