Good Morning,

I would like anyone that can please give me some assistance in this matter, and also I appreciate any help that anyone can give me. My husband is now in the latter stages of his Battle with Lung Cancer and Brain Cancer, so I have been taking care of some matters before the day does come when my husband continues his journey without me, (1) of the things that I want to set up in memory of my husband is Light A Candle, that I would send to all our of friends, becuase we have many that do not live near us, the assistance that I need is someone that is very good with words, as I just do not want to say Please Light A Candle In Memory of....., I am looking for something with a little more feeling, but short, as I said any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

Welcome to the forum, Lynda!
I am so very sorry about your husbands serious condition. My heart goes out to you at this difficult time. I admire your strength in preparing for the time when he will no longer be with you. Perhaps the right words will come to you then. I am not about to jump in with a suggestion since this requires reflection. There are several here in these forums who are very good with words who  might find words that are helpful to you. You could even now start a candle group for your husband and invite those who inquire about him to light a candle for him now as he makes this transition into a new life. The group could then continue with a simple invitation for others to join. The instructions for starting a group are in the top threads of the Candle Forum.

Wishing you peace and comfort,
Much love and warm hugs,
Edda

Dear Lynda, I am so sorry to hear your story, and I'm glad you have found your way here.
Like Edda I am not going to suggest words for your candle group either, because I know others here will be better able to suggest some for you. However, as Edda says, do start a candle group for your husband now to help him at this difficult time for both of you.

With Love, Jude

Dear Lynda . . .
Welcome, welcome to the forum and to the Gratefulness web site. I hope you will find care, comfort and support here as you go through this very painful process.
We are here for you, and until you have a group for your candles I will light a candle for you in the ALL group.

Lynda, may I also welcome you to our "family". As I read your post the words "brave heart" kept surfacing in my spirit. Truly, in the face of what is before you, you are a very brave heart and a caring and courageous woman. When gold is tested by fire it is then that its purity and beauty shine forth. "For the One who is mighty has done great things in you and Holy is our God's name. How very blessed your husband is to have you as his spouse. Know that he and you are held in my heart and in my prayers. What a very special gift for you both to know the end is coming so that all that needs to be said can be said and done diminishing the possibility of all those "if onlys" later. May you both be blessed with the peace beyond all understanding in this difficult time and may your care of self be as generous and loving as the care of your spouse. Although the time seems imminent when you will no longer be physically present to each other, I am sure he will always be with you in gratitude for all your love and care of him.

Gentle hugs and tender prayers,
