Cats, thank you for your prayers. Rather than shutting down from this tragedy I am trying to gear my attention to warn others of the risks from Methadone through various other methods. In researching it is a bigger problem than I was aware. Methadone rates #2 killer in drugs for recovering addicts, prescribed for pain and illegal street drugs.
It is a slow start for me but recovery usually is. One day at a time.
Thanks
Seneca's Mom

Marie, I am glad that you are reaching out and using your experience to help others. Your pain can bear fruit and, I think, you help your own healing at the same time.
Keeping you and Seneca in my prayers,
Edda

Hilda, thanks I really appreciate the backing. Between grieving and raising a new baby-(now toddler) for 3 1/2 years it has been a pull. But Faith and God have been with us all the way through and will continue to be. I no longer question the why of it all.
Sincerely

Seneca My Dear Son,

Spring is on it's way
The trees and bushes are starting to have buds and soon they will bloom
These were all planted by your Mom, with the Love I have for you
You have been my inspiration, from the great Love you brought me in your Life
and to bear the pain of your Loss.
I am sure you are smiling with Love in your spirit. My angel who was at my side.

Love Mom

Dear Marie, maybe our Angels, Seneca and Robby have become dear friends and are supporting each other there, like we are here. Much love.

Lynn, thanks for letting me hear that. Our angels are together. It's not that I am really down now. But I feel by doing another look into the situation from what I have just learned is like going back to where I was several years ago. But for the sake of my son, Seneca it is worth a chance. The whole investigation surrounding the circumstances was not ever complete for me and my family. At the time we did not have an accurate picture of the details. An outside source on a top level may be able to shed some new information to it. Then we may all have closure. The way it should have been at the time.
Thanks again my prayers are for you and Robby.
Take care of yourself. (sorry that's the Mom in me always giving instructions)

Edda, thanks for the prayers and candles. "Grief relapse" from weeks ago is put back into perspective. Prayers and support are working and making a difference. I think I have always been headed this direction to get closure and hear it from another authority figure in the specialty of his field. It was just a matter of acting on it and getting them to listen to your story.
Thanks again

Dear Marie, grieving is hard work and you are doing your best. I believe you are on the way toward healing despite "relapses" as you put it. My thoughts and prayers stay with you.
Love,  Edda

KaraAnn, thank you for your kind words and prayers. Our loved ones are united together and so have we become by the Grace of God. I only wish I had found Gratefulnes years ago. It has been an eye opening experience in finding complete strangers that have come together in the name of God and caring for their fellow man in times of need and struggles through prayer and candle lighting. Only if the world was like this what a place it would be.
Lord I pray....

The Power of Prayer
The power of prayer can benefit us in many ways and help to come through many difficult and trying times.
Thank you to everyone for praying for my family.
Because of this tragedy that has become a part of my family I have made a decision to channel my energies into helping others that may be brought into similar situations.
I have recently joined the group of HARMD, Helping America Reduce Methadone Deaths. Can be found at www.HARMD.org. HARMD is made up of the Families and Friends that have lost a loved one to Methadone. Those who had become a fatal victim because of having it prescribed while in a clinic, illegally obtaining it from a party it was prescribed for, (not them) and for those who had it prescribed by a Doctor for pain management.
Methadone Death rates in the U.S. are 4000 a year and increasing. Methadone is the #2 killer of Drugs. #1 being Cocaine.
Methadone can be a safe an effective Medication to treat addictions and for pain management. As long as it is regulated  and administered properly by Medical personnel and used only by the person it is prescribed for and not sold on the streets or mixed with certain other RX Meds or "street drugs".

Many families, have experienced the negative side of the potential for disaster from Methadone. It does not discriminate to age, social staus or ethnic background.
The www.PetitionSite.com is made up of familes and friends that have had Methadone come into their life and caused them to lose a loved one and to help prevent any further victims. The petition is titled, "Stop Methadone Deaths Tougher Restrictions on Methadone Prescriptions".
Lord I pray for all of these victims listed there and for the grieving families and friends

My son's personal story was not an easy decision for me to bring out into the open. But through God, Belief and Prayer I have been able to do so and the prayers of those here at Gratefulnes. Thank you.

Seneca's story of addiction can be viewed on  www.RevolutionHealth.com, In a search on this page, Type in "Drug addiction my son died from Methadone".
Lord I pray for my Son and for those that may be there to read his story to take precautions and be aware. Awareness is Knowledge.

A Mother's grief as well as grieving for a family member, friend or even a pet is a very personal emotional aspect of life and living. Belief in God and prayer will help get us through. Not to forget but to find different ways of coping to ease the pain of loss and through time.

Through God and Prayer we will continue our walk with Him at our side and help others that may be struggling.

Lord I Pray for those that have the burden of their own Crosses to carry. May we forever come together to give Strength, Hope and the Power of Prayer and the Spirituality of Candle Lighting.
Amen

Marie: Your case is one of those that is so difficult to address. The loss of a child is beyond words. Please trust in the Divine Mercy.

May God be holding Seneca close to his heart as I write this. I will light a candle in remembrance.
