This is my son's 18th birthday tomorrow and the 2nd since he died.  Seems as if the hurt never goes away.  I remember I used to wake up happy and looking forward to another day.  That doesn't happen now.  I am glad I found this place.  Lighting a candle gives me some peace.

Jolene I am sorry for your loss. I will light a candle in your son's memory. As a parent that lost my son, his birthday on New Years Day is exremely diffucult with mixed emotion. I find it a day for me to remember all of his precious moments throughout his life with all of his pictures. Then I thank God for have been given the chance to have had this wonderful child in my life even though it had been cut short, I was lucky to have been his Mom.
I will pray for you and your family.
