I ask you to keep supporting Alex with your prayers this week as it is now critical for Alex to get his Passport and his exit visa. Also soon therafter his transit visas and Albanian entrance visa - so much paperwork! We are really trying for his birthday and fighting an uphill battle - oh to be Madonna or Angelina - but we are mere mortals and have the faith of thousands behind us through forums such as this and Phatmass, so please pray and please write to Alex on his site.

O God, through the mediation of Mary our Mother, you granted your priest St. Josemaría countless graces, choosing him as a most faithful instrument to found Opus Dei, a way of sanctification in daily work and in the fulfillment of the Christian's ordinary duties. Grant that I too may learn to turn all the circumstances and events of my life into occasions of loving You and serving the Church, the Pope and all souls with joy and simplicity, lighting up the pathways of this earth with faith and love. Deign to grant me, through the intercession of St. Josemaría, the favor of Granting Alex and his new family your blessing that they can live their life together and the wounds of this world can be healed in Alex' young heart. Allow Alex to be open to his feelings and empower him to embrace a family, security and love. Let this week be good for him in Addis Ababa may he get his passport and exit visa. Amen.

Prayer for Mother Teresa's Intercession

Jesus, you made Mother Teresa an inspiring example of firm faith and burning charity, an extraordinary witness to the way of spiritual childhood, and a great and esteemed teacher of the value and dignity of every human life. Grant that she may be venerated and imitated as one of the Church's canonized saints.

Hear the requests of all those who seek her intercession, especially the petition I now implore to intervene for Alex and his father Rod and brother Rigo. Thank you for allowing the people of Lalibela to give Alex his adoption papers so that he can join his waiting family in the near future. Embrace our family and help Alex get his passport and visas for the next part of his journey. Please heal Alex of the emotional, psychological and physical scars that have affected his short life.

May we follow her example in heeding your cry of thirst from the Cross and joyfully loving you in the distressing disguise of the poorest of the poor, especially those most unloved and unwanted.

We ask this through the intercession of Mary, your Mother and the Mother of us all.
