yes, your prayers are working! Thank you so much edda, lynn , marie, and lori. And everyone that has ever prayed for latrena and myself. Today she went on a job helping someone that is sick, it built up her self esteem so much. i know she has a long hard journey ahead of her, but i do see the light at the end coming. latrena's big battle will be how she handles the tempation at the end of the month. thank you so much for being my shoulder to lean on. your prayers have gotten me through some rough times. i know there will be more rough times but God has blessed me with angels (that i have never met but feel like i have known you all my life) that i am so grateful to have in my life. love you all.   jennifer

Hello Jeni.  I know what both you and your friend are going through as I am a recovering addict myself.  I have been clean now for almost four years, and it has been the best four years of my life.  My only regret is that I did not do it sooner.  I am a sponsor of women now also, so I now understand the pain that addiction causes - not only to the addict themself, but also to the people who love and care about that addict.  It is a really sad disease that takes DAILY WORK to keep in remission.  I will definately pray for you and for your friend.  No one can stop her from reaching the bottom that she needs to reach in order to surrender to her diesease.  She cant and wont stay clean for anyone except herself.  Thanks for lighting the candle for her.  You are both in my prayers.

Dear Jeni: A while back you dropped me a note thanking me for my concern. I could have sworn that I answered it, but looking through my mailbox, I realized I didn't. Sorry about the oversight.

You and Latrena are still in my prayers. I don't always add a message to my candle, but I do add my best wishes and, most importantly, a prayer to The Lord.

God bless,
Emil

I pray for everyone who is addicted to alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, internet, sex, work or anything else.
May the inner peace and joy grow and grow - until there is no more place for addictions.
I´m thankful for every person who is visiting our group:

Latrena: I used to struggle with addictions, but I prayed repeatedly that God show me the way. And it was through our Lord that my prayer was answered. You wouldn't believe how radically my life changed. I was once the worse of sinners, and now I'm at peace with God.

Much can be accomplished through Jesus Christ.

Best regards,

thank you all, words can't  express how much i am grateful to all of you. i was away for a few days and wasn't able to be here but to see the candles still burning for latrena made me feel really good. as much as we would like to see latrena change she is still struggling. while i was away she called to tell me her landlord isn't going to renew her lease . all of this is because of the drugs and john. too much traffic and noise.  so here we go again.

i told her i am no longer able to do what i had done for her in the past, so perhaps this will give her some incentive to change. only time will tell. thanks again

thank you everyone for all of the prayers and i hope that you will continue to pray for latrena's safety and salvation from the drugs and her friend john. however i cannot enable her anymore. i have at this time stepped out of her life for a while in hopes that she will see things and people for what they truly are. i will continue to pray for her that she will find her way and i hope that he won't emotionally and physically destroy her before she gets it together. thanks so much

Dear Jeni, let Latrena know that she is in my prayers, that I light candles for her not only that she find a new apartment, but also that she may find a new way of living the one precious life she has.
And you, too, remain in my prayers!
Love,  Edda

Jeni, my prayers and candles are for Latrena as always. It is a good sign she is asking for prayers. She knows others care for her. Change is hard, especially with her being with one that may be used to that way. You seem to be her model of how her life can be. I pray for you, Jeni to remain strong through this.
