i will light a candle and pray your friend can come through this difficult time.

i am a recovering crack addict myself. i have been clean since october 2005. its a hard road to walk down but crack addiction can be beat. i pray your friend can find the strength to leave the crack behind her and move forward into the better life she deserves.

you sound as if you have been a wonderful friend. god bless you xxxxx

edda, emil i feel that i came back home. so glad to be back. Gemz, i too am recovering been clean for 3 and a half years. in fact i met latrena in rehab. but you have to want to be clean to stay clean. thank you all for the prayers we both need it. latrena is still struggling but she has so much going against her . no family support, she is in an abusive relationship and he is using crack to control her. i pray everyday that she gets tired because she is a beautiful person. Gemz as a new member i know you will like it here thanks for the response

First , i want to thank my faithful and loyal friends here for praying and keeping candle lit for latrena when i couldn't. you know who you are! the prayers that you sent up for both of us has helped both of us to grow. i have become stronger and by being faithful and believing in God i have been able to stop enabling her.  it was rough in the beginning for the both of us. i felt i had abandoned her and she felt abandoned and alone.  when she finally realized i wasn't giving in anymore she became a more responsible person. although she is still using, she is paying her rent now. Latrena was able to find another place and she vows she learned from her mistakes in the past. it is a slow process for her but everything that she has accomplished in the last four months she did it on her own. thank you all again. may God bless each one of you and know that prayers work.
