Since this is Holy Week, I have started a Jesus group where I have posted quotes from religious men and women, as well as prayers for humanity. Please stop by if you would like to do so.

Best regards,
Emil

Dear Emil, welcome to the forum. I found your candle group "Jesus" where you have lit so many candles for all the challenges facing your brothers and sisters. It is good to find quotes that are supportive and encouraging for those in difficulty. One thing that stands our for me during Holy Week is Jesus' forgiveness not only for those close to him but for those who mistreat him.  "Father, forgive them, they know not what they do." Luke 23:34
Wishing you a gracefilled Holy Week and a blessed Easter,
Edda

Dear Hildegard: Now that I have figured out how to reply (and the button was right there all along), I wish to thank you for your warm reception. I have always found this site comforting and beaming with love. You and the others involved in this project are providing a very needed service in this, our broken world.

And thank you for emphasizing our need to forgive in your reply. You see, I've been asking God especially hard for the gift of forgiveness since sometimes I hold on to grudges and can't easily forget the pains caused me in the past and those who caused them. It's just lately that I believe God is really starting to make progress with me in that area.

On my way out, I will light a candle for you and your loved ones. My God bless you all.

Thank you, Emil! Forgiveness is difficult. I don't think it is a matter of forgetting, rather of being no longer under the control of those who hurt us. Whatever happened to us is part of our history, part of our formation. Certainly, there are those everyday hurts that are forgotten with time, if we don't dwell on them. For myself, I have observed that most hurts I experienced were not intentional. The worst ones came out of a conviction that what was done to me was in my best interest. It does not take the pain away, but actually there is nothing to forgive. For those who were abused it is another story; they need all the love and support we can offer.
With every good wish,
Edda

I have found such great sites in buddhism where I am learning about every thing from A-Z about disliking my sister because of her use and abuse,in these messages it says buy her one big pretty flower(?)but I'm willing to try any thing that sets me free from my own bondage(s) I'm always nervous,I can't sleep,I'm constantly falling down,so I'm listening to meditation and healing music and It has most certainly rocked my boat I'm getting a wee bit more relaxed, for years I've always heard it's the mind that heals the body,so I'm working on me.I did a google search for meditation and healing music and found 46 so far for free listening they even put me to sleep sitting up straight hehe

Dear China: I'm very glad you found music which soothes you and helps you sleep. I hope and pray that God continues to help you and your husband so you might find healing.

Further instructions:

Once you are on the art exhibit website, scroll down to where it reads;

"Click on the picture below to go to the list of artists, which includes all the participants, and see their work."

Then click on the picture of Buddha's foot prints to view the many submisions made from all around the world.

There is some really neat art at that site. I saw a lot, but couldn't see them all since there are so many. One thing for sure, it made me want to create my own set of feet.

Thanks for sharing it, Richard,

With love,
Emil

If they're still accepting feet, and I can come up with a set of good ones, I'll let you know.
