Hi Edda,

I haven't been "in" the forum much the last few days as I'm taking care of my dad who has been having little unexplained "spells."  He's such a good patient, but feels guilty about taking up my time.  I wish he could know how grateful I am for him and how truly grateful I am for being able to give back to him in little ways.

I'm hoping your loving Leon and all our age-enhanced loved ones are blessed with good health and loving caregivers like Leon's lovely wife!

Love,
Lolly

Thank you, Lili, for your prayers and kind words! Leon's disability has given us an unexpected way of togetherness; we accept what is and are grateful for the time we share.

With much love,

beauty can come of anything...my grandparents had a similar love between them before my grandmother passed..she was very ill for some years from strokes.
the love grew and grew between them as he cared for her for many years..
it was sad and beautiful at the same time and i learned about love and marriage by watching them together.
May you enjoy the bond of your marriage.
AMEN!
love,
lili

How is your Leon?  I know you are taking good care of him.  Please bring us up to date.

Praying that he is continuing to heal.

Dear Lolly,
thank you for asking. The wound on Leon's heel has grown much smaller, but we don't know just how long it will be before it closes completely. Otherwise he is doing well and in pretty good spirits. We are managing day by day, and the days go by so quickly! We hope he can have his surgery sooner than later!

With every good wish,
Edda

Dear Eddda
You have sent me so many messages filled with positve energy and hope on the gratefulness thread I wanted to add a candle and prayer for you and Leon. Remember to take care of you too! As I cared for my mother she always reminded me to do this because as a nurse she knew first hand the importance of rest for ourselves as we cared for others. You are both  in my thoughts.

Thank you, Barbara, for your kind words and prayers! I do try to take care of myself and ask for help. I've just come home from grocery shopping. A friend took me in her car since I don't have one, and some things get to have to carry for a longer distance.

Wishing you everything good,
Much love,
Edda

Edda & Leon
I hope that Leon is doing well. You haven't updated on his progress for awhile.  I will light a candle for Leon and you too.

Remember to take care of yourself!!

Edda  - you are an inspiration to all of us. You always seem to find the right supportive and encouraging words of wisdom. I thank God for providing Angels like you to help us all.

Bless you & Leon.
Love
Vicky

Dear Vicky, thank you for asking and for all your kind words! Leon has an appointment with his orthopedic surgeon on Tuesday morning. The wound on his heel has finally closed! It took four months! There was not much to report in between. We hope Leon can have his surgery so that he can walk again. Living between his bed and wheelchair for such a long time has been difficult, but he has remained in good spirits, built up some muscles in his arms, and looks as if he has regained some weight.

Wishing you everything good,
Much love,  Edda

Edda,
That's great news. It certainly took a long time for the wound to close.
I hope Leon's appointment goes well tomorrow. I bet he is tired of not being able to get around.

Love

Vicky
