As I little girl from Brooklyn I wasn't sure what I watned in life.  Until I met the love of my life, or so I thought.

Here I am in my 50th year.   Had 4 incredible children.  The one I loved after 27 years turned around to find another, and another and is still looking for what he had.  Shame really,  he had it all, but didn't see it.

I decided rather than let this experience destroy me,  It game me new life.   I am successful in my work career.   Great friends with my adult children.   Have a wonderful network of friends,  some of which I have known most of my life.

It truly is a wonderful life.  The saying "That what doesn't kill you makes you strong" is absolutely correct.  I am not in a romantic relationship, but I am never alone.  I have wonderful people all around me.   For that I am so grateful.

But I find that focusing on the positive as opposed to the negative brings us to the place where we should be.  The place that is just right for us.

Please share with the rest of us your story.  So that we can celebrate where our lives have taken us together.  Let's focus on our blessings!

Thank you for sharing Janice.

it is painful going it alone but as you have experienced we are never really alone.

I am trying to love my place in life now as I have found myself walking the path on my own and trying to be positive about the situation.

your story makes me say I too can grow and experience new postive times.

many blessings and thank you God for being always there for each and every one of us

When we are grateful and forgiving in each moment, we are free.  If the moment is pleasant, I am grateful.  If the moment is unpleasant, I forgive it.  Gratitude and Forgiveness bring me back to the same place of Peace.  In this way gratefulness and forgiveness are the same thing.

Thank you everyone.
Some days it is difficult to be grateful.  I'm glad I found this site...to remind me of all I have to be grateful for.... a house, the beauty of nature around me, quiet, peace.  I don't feel peaceful today, but I am ready to accept what is.  I am grateful.
thank you and God bless you all.

Dear Lena,

I am sorry things are difficult for you now and I pray that God bring you the peace that is so bountifully created in nature. Thank you for your honesty. I personally am always grateful for individuals like you who will openly admit there struggles. That in itself helps me realize that at times, even in my own struggles to be grateful, I am not alone.

May these spring days filled with new life fill you with quiet peace.

Shalom
