Good Morning Fellow "Murphian,"
I pray you were not hurt when you got "totaled" and that you, too, have found good transportation to replace what was once there. I name all my cars. Way, way back, one was called "Squeeky Thumper Fall Apart." Whenever I drove it, it squeeked, thumped and I was never sure whether it was going to fall apart or not. "Scooter" was the one that got totaled and the "new" used one that I have is "Brunhilde". To me, at least, each car/vehicle has a "face" if you stand back and look at the front of it. "Scooter" just looked like the defiant Dennis the Menace type.
Emotional Roller Coaster, Nightmare, truly all of these-but, for me, a gentle reminder of all our God had given that wasn't even noticed until it wasn't there any more. I love the statement of your lesson learned --""Hey Blue wake up Ive been here all along so open your eyes and see what wondrous things I have in store for you!" I know that I could replace "Blue" with "Imenuff".
There is a reason "Imenuff" is. I was in a Group Spiritual Direction class one day when God and I really weren't getting along. God justs didn't really understand what was going on. The class was doing group sharing off the statement "I AM" , i.e. I am wife/husband, mother/father, secretary, Christian, Buddhist, etc. I went blank. In addition to not getting along with God, I wasn't getting along with me either and was at one of those points where I could see absolutely no good or value in me. As I kept attempting to write my response to the sharing question, the only word that came was "enough!" "I AM ENOUGH!"--i.e., GOD IS ENOUGH and will provide ALL THAT I EVER NEED , most times in completely mysterious ways and ways that totally surprise me. But the sharing was supposed to be about each of us. And so "I am Enough" was also about me--STOP LOOKING AT ALL OTHERS HAVE ACHIEVED, HAVE, ETC. God created you for God's own unique dream for you.
The saga of I AM ENOUGH ended with it now sometimes referring to God--"I'menuff" to fulfill all your needs, and sometimes referring to me--"I'menuff" to fulfill the dream God dreamed when Our God created me!
As you so aptly said, Blue, "GOD TRULY WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS!! Thank you, Blue, you are a very special gift to all here. God Bless!!
