Thank you Edda for your encouraging words. What a kind thing to by responding  to me with such openness. A true gift and I welcome it! While my writing sounds like despair it is not. I remain “choiceless” as a response to the Divine. Yes, I am a believer. I include The Terma Collective here. It has given me much inspiration, and I “offer” it here for whatever blessing it brings to whoever it wills.
Thanks again.

Thank you, Gail, for your kind words and also the link. I looked at the prayer offered there - quite challenging! I will go back there when I have more time. My husband's long hospital stay fills my days pretty well right now.
Wishing you everything good,
Edda

Dear Edda,
Sorry. I didn't know about your husband. I will keep you both in my prayers.
I can't get around the website yet. Where is your posting?

No need to apologize!! The thread for my husband is "Prayers for my Husband Leon" (Hildegard).  He also has a candle group under his name (LEON).
I appreciate your care and prayers,
Love,  Edda

Lori,
Your generous spirit humbles me. To be thinking of me, on this first Mothers Day without Eric, is astonishing to me. A "thank you" is hardly enough. I am glad you are reaching out. I didn't. I isolated myself and distracted myself by working. Cowerdly.
I wish I could say something to comfort you.  I have no words that will soften your agony. But I am a fellow sister, walking or stumbling, on the same way with you. Blessings fellow sister!

I am a new member and this is my first post, I do not presume to say I know how you feel Gail, I don't know.  I do know that your beloved son is in God's Hands and I firmly believe that when the time is right for Him you will be re-united.  I have known grief in it's other aspects and it can become soul destroying, many years ago, my cousin died suddenly, he was like a brother to me and I was truly devastated.  I read a simple sentence, which said "Do not be sad that he is no more, be glad that he was".
My thoughts and prayers are with you and all of you on this board, your stories are truly humbling.
May God Bless you

Dear Yorkiemary,
It is an amazing thing that your comfort comes all the way from England. Oceans cannot separate compassion! I thank you for this kindness. I am sorry for your loss. The loss of any loved ONE is devastating. As an only child, I know how importance in our lives cousins can be. Right now, my oldest cousin Marty, a retired Lutheren minister, is in his final days.
You used an interesting term: soul destroying. That indicates to me how great the loss was for you. May I also bring, across the vast ocean, comfort to your heart. I would like to correspond with you, if you wish. You can email me directly at sangrega@udmercy.edu
I live in Michigan.
Thank you again...
