This is beautiful, Betty! It reminds me of my flight over those large areas of woods glowing in yellow, orange and red in the Eastern part of the US. I had never seen anything like it before, as we mostly have conifers here in Austria, which don“t change their color. This memory always comes back to me in fall. Are you the author, or is there any other?

Juliana

So many talented people here, writing poetry, sharing their daily experiences, giving love to strangers. We are an odd bunch, I love my 'extended' family. Bless you all.

quote:

sharing their daily experiences, giving love to strangers
A story was once told about a woman who visited prison three times a week. The prison chaplain asked if her husband was incarcerated and she told him no. He then asked if it was a son or brother and again she said no. He finally asked if it wasn't a close relative that was incarcerated, why did she come to visit strangers so often? She looked at him, smiled, and said, "Pastor, these aren't strangers. They're just brothers and sisters that I haven't met yet." As with any "real" family, we truly are an "odd bunch", but what matters is that we are all family.
