My brother, a pastor in Austria is deeply concerned about the family of a two-and-on-half year old girl who suffers from leukemia. Her parents are heart-broken, because her doctors have nothing more to offer that has any promise for at least a remission. A generous anonymous donor from this country had donated her bonemarrow for a transplant, which resulted in only a temporary remission. Now she has given blood cells with the hope of benefitting the little girl. We all are asking for prayers that the family may be comforted in their grief and that the little patient might take an unexpected turn for the better.

I have family that lives in Brisbane, Australia. I will certainly pray for this little girl. is there a candle I can light for her?

I want to add that Maija Ellena has not responded to treatment. There is a slim hope for another bonemarrow transplant. Her mother is staying with her in the hospital. She seems overwhelmed with the thought of losing her bright, lovely daughter. Please, keep praying for her and her familily, and light candles for her.

Edda , I`m wondering if you have any updates as to how Maija Ellena
is doing? Praying for remission and still keepings the candles lit
in the group KIND I pray she is doing better or as you put it
an unexpected turn for the better.

Thank you for asking! The last news I had was that the doctors might try a second bone marrow transplant, hoping against hope that it might work this time. My brother is trying to contact the family, but the mother is with the child in the hospital and the father has to be at work. Thank you for your prayers and candles. This is the best we can do to support them.

Lord Jesus Christ, Thou wast never too busy to spend time with the sick and those afflicted with pain. Lord, I ask thee to continue to show thy mercy to this small child during this illness; to comfor her and her family with Thy presence.
Lord in Heaven hear my plea; give these parents strength, patience, wisdom, love during this very hard time.
Lord Jesus, hold this small child in your loving arms; please grant healing to her. Breath your healing light into her small body to heal; to become strong; to live long.
