Please light a candle for Theresa Parker who was a 911 operator in Lafayette, Georgia and has been missing since March 21.  The last person known to have talked to her was her sister late the evening before.  She was married to a Lafayette police officer and was in the midst of a divorce.  There was evidence of domestic abuse with previous calls made to 911 in the years leading up to this.   She had already rented an apartment and was cleaning it up and planning on moving the next day.  The husband was staying at his deceased father's home but was in and out of the house.  He is the only suspect in the case and has been since fired from his police duties after they found explosives in his work locker.  He also gave an interview to Fox where he claimed he knew where Theresa was but wasn't going to tell because if she was happy that was fine.  Please light a candle in hopes that Theresa is brought home and her husband, Sam, is brought to justice.  If you want to read more about the story then just google Theresa Parker, Sam Parker, 911 missing operator, or google the Walker County Messenger, which is the local newspaper.  Theresa was loved very much and her family is desparately wanting answers.  While lighting her candle to help light her path back home, it is also a candle lit againt domestic violence.

Dear Georgia: They always say that the most dangerous part of leaving an abuser is the actual leaving, and that's why so many women get help.

I will be glad to light a candle for Theresa and pray for her.

Regards,
Emil

Adding my prayers for Theresa. I have light a candle to light her way home and against domestic abuse. May all those in similar positions find peace and my God grant them mercy.

I so hate to hear things like that! Its disturbing, and we are all thinking the same thing. I will pray for her that she comes home, safe and sound---I dont want to hear that anything bad has happened to her at all. To the family, please dont give up hope and never give up looking for her. I know you wont but sometimes it helps to hear it.  I will keep up with her story as things progress.
God Bless you and your family,
Steffney

Thanks to everybody who has lit a candle for Theresa and her family.  She has over 130 candles now!  Her story has touched so many people.

More info on her case:  I forgot to mention that her vehicle was left in the driveway of her home so they know she didn't drive away.  Her purse and cell phone were the only things missing.  Also, there were several people, including the ex-wife of Sam Parker and fellow police officers, who signed an affidavit on the search warrant that he had bragged he could kill somebody and get rid of the body to where no one would ever find it.  One of the officers said he said that as recently as a few weeks before the disappearance.  I just pray he was wrong and she is found so he can be brought to justice.  There was also a report by the sister of Theresa that said she called the nonemergency 911 # the morning after she last saw her and asked them to do a courtesy check on her b/c she had gotten a call from her house late the night before while she was asleep and couldn't get her sister on the phone.  An officer said he rode by around 6 a.m. and that Sam Parker's truck was there but Theresa's wasn't.  The sister said the officer said he rode back by about an hour later and Sam's vehicle was gone and Theresa's 4-runner was back.  Sam's story was he went to the house early to get a boat motor from outside to go fishing but that Theresa's vehicle was there and her door was closed so he assumed she was asleep.  This leads me to think he used her car to take her somewhere to keep evidence out of his vehicle.  The GBI has released info that they found blood drops in the well of the hatchback for the 4-runner.  All of this along with other evidence is leading everyone to fear the worst.  It is the sort of place where everybody knows everybody, and it is shocking for this to happen practically in your backyard.  I'm glad I found this site though because it is a great place to leave a message for Theresa and where people can feel like they are doing something just to let the family know that she hasn't been forgotten.  Thanks again for all the people who are lighting candles for her.  I pray that she is found soon.

May God bless Theresa Parker and her family.

God loves justice and so I am praying that Theresa is found soon and that her husband will confess, if he has done what I fear he has from his disturbing words.

I have the sense many prayers are need to be directed at Sam Parker confessing!

I will take my cue from Alyra. ;)

I pray that whomever caused this pain may find no peace until peace is given to those that are feeling such profound anxiety and sense of loss.

To my friend Dawgfan - I appreciate your words more than you know.  I only wish there was something more I could do.  I can't imagine what your family is going through, and I promise we won't forget until you get some answers and even then I promise we won't forget Theresa.  She has touched so many lives and is bringing awareness of the domestic violence problem that is all too common.  Your family has handled this so well.  You all seem to be staying strong and not giving up, and she would be so proud of you as I am sure you are of her.  God bless you all and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers every single day.
