I read this prayer last night in Everyday Grace by Marianne Williamson. It as if it was the prayer from my own heart about those I love that I'm missing. I thought it might help other's on the board in similar situations. God bless!!

Dear God,

Please help us find the love between us. I know it's there, and I am willing to change, that I might see it.

Thank you, Star, it is a good prayer, simple, direct and not wordy! We do need to be willing to change to see things differently! Isn't it amazing how looking at something from a different viewpoint can make things look so different?

What I like about this prayer is that we are usually asking that someone else should change, and not always being aware that we ourselves need to.

Thank you Edda and J. I thought it was a great prayer too. And yes....we do need to recognize our need to change as well!!

I'm writing to night to thank you all for your prayers and to thank God as miracle #1 has occured. And I have faith the first of many to come. My Mother finally emailed me today after a month in response to my request to seek family therapy. She mentioned that she was waiting until they were able to find a home to rent (they filed for bankrupcy earlier this year and their house is getting taken back from the bank) but I am so very grateful she at least made contact and I have faith that she will follow through on this therapy. Continuing to hold her in my prayers for their financial situation as well as healing for our family. May God continue to break down the walls between us and bless us with his mercy and grace.

Continued prayers for healing in my relationship with my Father. May those walls continue to fall down and may we both allow the changes needed to bring us closer to an open relationship.

For A, God bless you and I pray that God lights your path and the walls surrounding your heart come crashing down as well. May you heal and may you learn to love again and live a beautiful life. Find your way dear friend and know that I am always here and my love is free forever. Take care.

Dear Star: You can't imagine how happy I am that your mother contacted you, and that you're feeling blessed with an answer to your prayers.

I'll keep praying for your situation so that all might be resolved. I'll also include your mother in my prayers so that she will find a suitable place in which to life. May God protect her.

And, thank you for sharing the prayer with us. It is indeed unique in that it asks that the one praying change if need be. Like the others before me commented, too often we ask that others change.

Thank you all! Its so great to give some good news!!

Quick update: My Mother emailed again and I took the step and called her today. She seemed very upbeat and her energy was very different which is such a blessing! She even asked about my schedule so she can call the therapist and check dates. WOW. I am totally amazed and grateful. I am moving ahead with full faith that this family therapy session will go well and we are on the mend. Thank you all for your prayers and please know that you are all held dearly to my heart.

Continuing to pray for miracles in all my relationships and for ones in yours too!

Thank you Edda...and everyone for your prayers and candles.

I wanted to share some more good news. My sister called today and she had spoken to my Mother. She asked about the therapy and my Mother replied that she was waiting until things were settled in their life. My sister said she could just tell my Mother couldn't handle it. And I started to feel a bit down. Then my sister said that my Mom said she thought in her mind that we were estranged but her spirit knew that we weren't. That she knew we were still together. She said it was the weirdest feeling. And when I heard this I knew, in my spirit that my love is reaching my Mother. That healing is taking place in her life and that her spirit knows that when it is ready, when she is ready, I am here waiting for the moment!! It just felt so great. I know it sounds odd because it may be a few more months before we can really heal and come together but I just feel so strongly the hand of God on this and that it will happen when it is the perfect time. This boosted my faith in all of my relationships. I know that God's love is healing them all. And for once I love all of them fully, everyone in my life fully, I can see their imperfections and their fears and I just love them for it. I see how they are growing and learning and stumbling and just getting back up. I want to just kiss and hug all of them for it. I may sound like I'm gushing because I am. I have faith and believe in the power of God, of love, and the blessed human spirit.

God bless you all. And may each of my relationships feel this love I'm giving out tonight and for the rest of my life. It truely is a divine feeling of love. I wish this feeling for all of you.

Asking for the grace of blessings on all my loved ones tonight.

May I continue to be graced with a voice that speaks from the center of my heart. May I be bold enough to love unconditionally and voice that love daily. May my actions speak through love. May God continue to bless me with healing and give me the grace to heal others.

Mom, praying for your release from these financial bonds.

Dad, praying for peace and love to finally let you rest.
