Please light a candle for the Vaughn family. The mother & three children were killed last week. The father Chris Vaughn was arrested today.

Vicky,
Welcome to the Forum, I will pray for this Mother and her children and I will light a candle for them in the group "Jesus". If you start a candle group for the Vaughn family, please let us know as I'm sure many others will join you in lighting candles. Bless you Vicky for remembering this family.
God Bless,
Bluemoon

Dear Vicky: Like Bluemoon, I will light a candle and say a prayer tonight under group Jesus. Please let us know if you start a group. I saw this on the news earlier this weekend and find it extremely sad and troubling.

My best,
Emil

I live in Oswego, but did not know the family. This horrific crime has rocked our small village. The Vaughn family lived in a new upscale home. This little town used to be all farmland , now they are building luxury homes. Everyone that knew the family said the Mother & children were very nice. I pray that they did not suffer. I can't imagine what they must have thought when they realized that their own father was going to shoot them. I pray that they were asleep and did not suffer. May God punish their father for this terrible crime. Pray for our village to rise from this. There is talk of naming a park in the children's honor.

Dear Vicky, I can understand that all these events are very traumatic for you and your community. Everybody has been hurt by these murders disrupting the fabric of everyday life. And yet, this tragedy can also bring people closer to each other as they try to comfort and support each other and find a way to heal.
My prayers are with you and all who mourn the mother and her three children.
Wishing you peace,
Edda

Dear Vicky: I find the news so troubling that last night, although I lit a candle and prayed for the victims, I didn't know what to say and didn't leave a message. I am sorry this happened in your up-till-now peaceful community, and I know life there won't be the same.

I pray for you and all the others in Oswego and surrounding areas, that after the initial anger, you turn to God for healing instead of the divine justice which you and many, many of us surely want so much right now. And, of course, I pray for the mother and the children whose death is hurtful beyond comprehension.

With my condolences,
Emil

I feel so bad that so many people are getting killed. The murders in the USA are in numbers too high to count,I am saddened by the young deaths that are taken along with them.My prayers go to the families of their loss.I too will light a candle and a prayer.

Thanks to everyone for their kind words.

Too much in the news lately about fathers killing their children and loved ones. This is so frightening to children. They have to fear the person who is suppose to love & protect them.

May God protect the children.
