Welcome to our forums, Crystal!
Candle Group: Biond
I'm sad to hear that 'shaken baby syndrome' has victimized another innocent soul. I'm praying for baby Evelynn.

I do hope that legal recourse is being sought so that the perpetrator of this heinous act can be held accountable!

Your empathy for this child is the work of the Creator. As I understand Christianity, God is to work through people. I do believe that, right now, he is working through you. Thank you for bringing this child's needs to attention. Baby Evelynn can trust to recieve much loving energy from the beautiful spirits that pass through here.

Dear Crystal, I join in welcoming you! Thank you for your compassion for Evelynn, another victim of "shaken baby syndrome". I will pray for her and her family and light candles. My heart goes out to them. I also pray that those about to commit such abuse would become aware that they are losing control and would step away or seek help! The damage done is often beyond repair and so very sad!
With every good wish,
Edda

Update: Evelynn is home, still she needs your prayers, they are unsure about the damage and it will take time to figure it out, God can heal her.

Dear Crystal: I'm very happy to hear the news. I have already heard Kaleb might be on his way home, but didn't know about Evelynn.

With love,

I know a lot of these acts can be counted as crimes, but this story takes me back to 38 years ago when I was suffering from post-natal depression and night after night of broken sleep. I came so close to committing this crime, and I loved my daughter with a passion! The frightened look on her precious little face stopped me in time and I thank God every time I remember it that I stopped. I betrayed her trust and that was a very big lesson for me.

I pray for all parents of small children. It's the most difficult job in the world.  J

Dear Judith, thank you for your honesty! Your example makes an excellent point. We need to do a much better job in recognizing post-partem depression and offer more support to parents, especially very young ones, to prevent their loss of control out of frustration. Some are ashamed of their feelings, others don't know that there are hot-lines in many places that offer support.
Wishing you everything good,
Love,  Edda

As a mom of four kids I know how hard it is to keep your cool sometimes, my kids are currently ages 7yrs, 5yrs, 3 1/2yrs, and 21 months.  The last one was a surprise but I wouldn't take all the money in the world for ANY of them, and God help the person who ever tried to hurt them. I can't imagine going thru what these parent's have gone thru, seeing my kid that way, I thank God I have the breath and voice to pray for them.

Nothing is more heartbreaking than to hear a child has been harmed.  I haven't heard the news story, but this little family has so much healing to do, too.  I will add my candle to all of yours and pray for little Evelynn and her family's healing.

Judith is bravely honest in admitting what so many of us have experienced.  I can't remember a time when I came dangerously close to doing something violent, but I do remember the fatigue that comes with caring for a tiny baby and that end-of-your-rope feeling that surfaces when nothing you do seems to work.  I came home from work one day and found a huge hole in the hallway where my husband had put his fist when our two-month old baby girl wouldn't stop crying.  He was embarrassed by it, but realized he needed some help and got anger-management help.  Thank Heaven the wall got the brunt of his frustration.

God bless Little Evelynn and all of the defenseless children who are hurt at the hand of those who should love them most.

Lolly
