Prayers are needed for my dear friend, another Judith, and her son Michael. Michael is currently going through his second breakdown and Judith suffers badly from depression. Her husband, and Michael's father, took his own life 20 years ago and they both still grieve.  J

My heart and prayers are with them, I can't imagine the pain they've endured.

God, Lighten the burden these this mother and son carry, lift them up and help them get to higher ground Lord. Touch their hearts, spirits, minds, and bodies as only you can. Amen.

Praying for healing and peace for Judith and Michael. Asking the Angels to send them all the support they need to deal with their grief and to light up the way for them both to fill their lives with joy, love and serenity. Amen

Thank you all for the prayers and candles. Please keep lighting them as things are still bad.
Judith is staying with me tonight and she says that Michael is far from well and she is finding it heavy going. He is a man in his 20s and is getting mood swings and panic attacks and generally finding it difficult to deal with life.

Also he is feeling ashamed at having a mental illness. Such a pity as there is no more shame attached to it than breaking your leg. He's a lovely sensitive and caring young man normally.   J

May God enfold Michael in loving arms and heal all that needs healing. May his mind, spirit, and heart be clear. May he see the gift of beauty that he is. May God comfort Judith as well and also may God grant you the wisdom to know how to comfort and bring her peace this evening. God bless.

Dear Judith, I am sorry that your friend Judith and her son Michael are so distressed. I have been lighting candles for them in the ALL group and will continue to do so. They are in my prayers. I hope Michael can come to understand that he need not be ashamed, but the way he feels shows that there is still a stigma attached to mental illness, even among young people. We can all help by speaking about this prejudice at the appropriate occasion.
Wishing you everything good,
Edda

Later when I try to light candles again, I will light one for Judith and Michael (and the deceased father) as I was doing. May God take the burden they're carrying and do away with it, allowing them to heal.

With love,
Emil

Thank you all so much for your prayers.

Judith had a lovely few hours of respite and left much uplifted, and Michael has taken a bold step in applying for a job while Judith was here with me. I don't know if he is well enough yet, but it was great news that he had actually taken a decision on his own, and phoned to ask for his Mother's support. They had parted company on none too friendly terms! Judith is an open person and Michael is very private. They love each other dearly, but don't understand each other's differing approach to the situation.

I think they both benefitted from the few hours apart. Bless them, they are both angels who love helping others, but don't know how to help themselves.   J

Dear Judith, how good that you were able to provide some breathing space for your friend Judith that left her refreshed. And I am glad to hear that Michael showed some initiative on his own. These are some small steps in the right direction! You are truly a good friend to both of them!
I'll continue to keep them in my prayers,
Love,  Edda

Great news! I am so glad you were able to grace your friend with some much needed time and healing. I pray the walls between Judith and her son continue to come down so they can see their love clearly. I pray for his continued healing and growth. God bless them and you as you are a dear friend!

Now that Michael is feeling a bit better, Judith has plummeted !!
She suffers from quite bad bouts of depression, and is feeling very tired and low at the moment.

I am praying for something to uplift her.    J

I have battled depression at times myself, so I know how hard it can be.  I will pray for your friend.

It is so easy to get stuck in negative thought patterns and to believe lies.  We need our friends to help us sort things out.  Bless you for being there for your friend.

Lord, be with Judith and reveal your truth to her.  She is loved and very precious to you.  Amen

J, those of us who love people with mental challenges seem to ride their highs and lows with them.  It's so wonderful that Judith has you to hold her hand on that scary roller coaster of life.  She obviously gains strength from your friendship.

I'll add prayers for Judith and Michael and for you as you minister to her.

Love,
Lolly

Thank you Lolly. Reading your posts leads me to believe you are a lovely person too.

People with depression seem to be attracted to me. I think it's because I have an outward appearance of being calm, although I'm not always inside Even when in crisis myself, I still seem able to be there for others. It surprises me very much.

The person I love the most in the whole world also suffers badly from depression and anxiety, and despite him 'coming and going' (relationship-wise) we are still together most of the time after 9 years. I don't give up on people. Stressful!!!!! but that's me.    J
