I am so happy for you that you were able to spend such an enjoyable day with your family. The excitement of children can certainly add to the pleasure!

I am glad your stressful weekend has ended happily!

I am grateful for a gorgeous summer day with lots of sun but not too hot. Leon was able to sit outside for quite some time.
I am also always grateful for the marvelous array of flowers at the Ronald McDonald House. Right now there are lilies in many colors. The volunteer ground keeper sees to it that there is always something in bloom.

Today I am grateful for the simple in all of life, the simple profound beauty all around that calls us to very quietly look and truly see, listen and truly hear for with no effort on our part to achieve anything, create anything, improve anything or even improve ourselves, the loving beauty of creation always surrounds us to remind us that it is the little child-like awe filled wonder of all these simple little things that is the closest to the Divine.

Jude, I am sorry you have been having such a difficult day. Thank you so much for posting the blessing videos. They are truly a challenge to live especially when someone has gotten on your very last nerve. I am glad your weekend did end on a positive note.
Lynn, it is so good to read of your very special day. I love your special title for good memories--"Heart Smiles" What a perfect title to give them. May each day have many little special heart smiles for you.
Juliana, it sounds like all the "signatures' in the Visitor Book really multiplied your enjoyment of the interview.
Edda, your day sounds perfect, especially since Leon could be outside and share it. How perfect to have a gorgeous array of flowers right in front of you without having all the trudge and toil for them to be there.

I'm so happy to be able to post good things again.
I saw my reg. dr. today, nothing but good and encouraging news. She said all my bloods levels are where they are supposed to be and a few tests came back with improvements! I have more tests scheduled for August, I'm sure they will be fine too.
Our vacation starts this saturday, I will have my laptop with me so I will try to keep in touch.

Today I am grateful for the 41 British wildflowers, in flower, that I counted on my way to school and back. There may have been more.
Also for the buzzard sighting during the same time.

Today I am grateful for being able to borrow an electric trimmer so that all 21 bushes could get trimmed yesterday and no longer look like they are the background for "George of the Jungle." I am also grateful after the bushes, lawn trimming and cutting, making dinner, etc., that energy was provided for a visit to Paul even though that was the last thing I "felt" like doing. The "spirit within" knew that it was important and no matter how tired I felt "physically", got me there!.

Lynn, it was so very special to read your post. What great news

Prayers continue that all dr visits produce only positive results. Blessings on your vacation. May it be filled with child like wonder and awe.
Juliana, I still haven't started planning Mattli. As soon as I do, I will let you know.
Jude, your wildflowers sound beautiful and completely enhanced by the buzzard sighting. After the past weekend, it's good to read about peace filled happenings in your path.

Today I am grateful for tentative steps towards a better relationship with my Son. There is definitely less tension between us, and at the counselling session more tiny steps forward were made.

However, on the way out, my Son asked if I could look after Chloe tonight. Of course I said yes, but then it means I am not free. Difficult one.

Thanks to everyone for your well wishes. I'm going to take lots of pictures and I will try to post a few, I may need my son's help. lol

Today I am grateful that I was able to find in the internet the interview with Brother David, which Julia had mentioned a couple days ago. Not only this, I was able to listen to it with minimal pauses! I really enjoyed it, and especially appreciated the warmth and candor of the exchanges.

Today I am grateful to experience feelings of gratitude....Jude thank you for the kind feedback your right I do not often think of myself in terms of giving and I am so inspired by your working through your relationships. In fact, I often reflect on some of your growth as I struggle through periods with my own Im grateful for your shared perspectives. Juliana, Im grateful for your offerings especially those that keep me connected with the positive belief that humans are basically good souls....your guidance always seems to arrive as I am revisiting doubt or disappointment. Betty as always you and Edda have the ability to ground me in Faith in the Holy Ones divine wisdom for my good and to Trust that wisdom which ultimately leads to my relaxing control. Today I am very grateful for the gifts of hearing and music. It's been a llllllllooooooonnnnnnggggggg time. Several months ago, my nephew gifted
me with a CD player for my birthday With all that's been going on, I just never took the time to hook it up. (I was also sure that I couldn't figure out how to hook up the speakers to it). Today the decision was made to take some "Me" time and with the help of heaven's best "handy man--St Joseph--"to at least try and hook it up. MUSIC SOOTHES THE SAVAGE BEAST or gives life to the weary soul. Today, I am very grateful for that gift of music, the gut-level intuition of Joseph as to what to do next and taking the "Me" time to try.

Betty, like you, I have recently been able to listen to music again after a long break, and it's very nice. I'm glad you had some 'me' time.....so important.

Today I am grateful for the spectacle and privelege of seeing the first flights of fledgling kestrel and buzzard chicks. I've only seen it once before. Nature is so interesting and surprising. Parent bird in a tree on one side of the field and baby in a tree on the other side. Parents call to encourage babies, babies screech back their trepidation, and then..the young bird takes to the air and the parents fly to join them. Magic!!
Just like when our babies let go and took their first steps, and we ran to catch them!

Just popping in real quick to ask for a group prayer for JJK, Josie, of Florida. Her Dad is in serious condition in the hospital and he needs our help for healing and strength, both for him and his family, his name is Joe. Julianna, Josie asked about you, I told her I would pass along the message for your prayers and her thanks. I spoke to her a little while ago, she is on her way to see him now. We have been become close thru this site and all I can say is how grateful I am for all of my new friends. Prayers and blessings to all. I am getting ready for my friend, she should be here within the hour with the kids. We are all packed for tomorrow. I will have my laptop and I will keep in touch as time allows. Thank you. Imenuff, I am so grateful for your words and encouragements to remembering to just "Be" I have made concious efforts to return to this practice daily and the experiences that are being brought to me by the Higher Power have been wonderfully elevating and God given...I remember and embrace the exciement of life at this level.....how do we slide so far down the slippery slope???? I believe in my heart we are supporsed to so we can rekindle this feeling of Joy in God and his Spirit.
Lynn so happy to hear about your renewed feelings of "I Can" and all the encouragement regarding your health.....I will keep praying for you. Edda your encouraging me and support keep me unafraid to ask the questions ever hard ones of my own personal reflections regarding life and disappointments you give me a sense of nurturing support and acceptance most important acceptance Lori so good to hear your posts Ive missed you however it may be due to my own absences of late....

As I began to just let go and Be God has led me to prayer my mother was a great believer in prayer as an ongoing discussion with God about well anything....as she became older and infirmed she reported based on a discussion with me she was inspired to begin praying for others from that time on she developed as our Pryaer Warrior and I still get calls to this day from others encouraging me to pray as they do due to Mom so I have been not fighting the feeling she asked me to continue her prayers for others ...a few months ago I began communicating with a Sister from the Washington Fransiscan order who has writen a book about Prayer and she sent me a copy to read and encourage me. Sister Joy has written 101 Inspirational Stories of Prayer you can review at www.101prayers.com really helpful and beautiful. Then I had gotten tickets for Joe's cousins birthday to see Joel Osteen a minister who I listen to from Houston his message s are always uplifting he reminds me of Norman Vincent Peale as we sat waiting for the program I was compelled to write on a piece of paper "God does not put you no place without a Plan" Joes cousin looked at it and smiled.The praise program began and we were singing Joel Osteen took the stage and his whole sermon was on finding Hope in Gods plan when things like our relationships, goals, and finances are not working out. Joes cousin just looked at me and said Now I undestand your approach to prayer and faith taht God guides you despite your struggles.....
What a night God decided to talk to me through music, missions stories and joy......I always struggle with the concept of joy expressions in relationship to God as a child I felt I had to subdue my belief that God is Joy ,smiling , laughter but in my heart I have always believed God wants us to express Joy in all things...today because I was encouraged to Be I received confirmation that I need to let go of what others think and Be one in the Lord through Joy and talk to him freely through prayer and it is okay to do this in all honesty when Im happy or scared meaning God accepts all our feelings without judgement and can help us manage them Wonderful Counselor, Leader and Friend.
