Today I am very grateful for being the presider at the morning Communion Service. It made the day even more special. Our Associate asked yesterday if I would do it since they would all be at the funeral for the mother of the Pastor.

Jude, you are very wise to regularly back up your computer. I learned that the hard way several years ago. Mine didn't get a virus but totally crashed and all programs needed to be reinstalled. Now, pertinent info is backed up every two weeks. Your garden angel sounds very special and a real gift.
Edda, I am grateful that your brother is safe and that Leon's blisters are healing. May they continue healing til they are no more.
Barbara, may your throat heal quickly. You are right, Taize is a very special gifted experience although I hae never experienced a complete Drum Circle. I think we are all in the same boat as far as "first steps" in life being prefaced by inner doubt. We are all so different in so many ways and yet so very much the same in the general struggles and growing pains.
Lynn, dear, I was sorry to read about your unrelenting pain. Prayers continue daily for pain free days filled with healing. May each day become more and more painfree.
Juliana, hopefully your weekend becomes something you can tap into in the midst of the pain and sorrow in your neighborhood. Prayers for all of you.
Joe, T.O., Lori, Solomon, and anyone whom I have forgotten to mention, If you have ever posted here, please know that you are included in prayer.

Tonight I am deeply grateful for "The Five Love Languages" (presented on pages 3 and 4 of  "Books for which I am grateful"), as I had a chance of giving another talk on it. I have just returned,  once more being gratefully surprised how well people respond to it. What Gary Chapman says seems to be of special importance in our times, when relations and relationships are endangered. Or maybe they always were? It is particularly his " Five Love Languages for Teenagers" which parents are interested in. What did it say on a T-shirt which my son brought home from the US: "Teenagers are people, too!"

Morning family. I went to the dr's yesterday. I found out why I'm in such pain. I have fluid building up around my liver, or an infection around it. I have to go for an ultrasound tomorrow to find out which it is, so can treat me. I'm so scared to have the test done because my belly is swollen and they have to push down with the ultrasound. I'm really dreading this. And I'm so afraid that I'm getting worse. I'm not ready for this. I need some long hugs...

Lynn

Here is a healing meditation you can do which may help you. It is easier than it first appears because it takes longer to describe than to do. It is very good because it requires little energy, which is important when you are not feeling well.

In addition I will perform a Breath of Compassion meditation for you which is an ancient Tibetan healing practice that has had some excellent results.

Alchemist

Sit or lie in a comfortable, relaxed position. Let your eyes close and begin to relax. Take several slow, deep breaths into your abdomen. Let the air out of your lungs with a big sigh, and just let the inhalation happen by itself. Notice if your chest rises or if your belly rises when you breathe in. See if you can let the air move your abdomen more than your chest. Relax your chest muscles and relax the muscles in the area of your stomach. Let your breath flow in and out like ocean waves. With each wave of breath, let your body become more relaxed. Let waves of relaxation sweep over you. Let the relaxation flow into every muscle and tendon from the top of your head to the tips of your finger and toes.

Imagine that you are surrounded by white light. This is a light of purity and protection. Inside the area of this light there can be no negativity. It is a light of love. Allow this light to shine all around you and through you.

Now change the light to one of shimmering gold. The golden light is flecked with sparkling healing green light. Shine this gold and green light into every cell of your body.

Notice any areas in your body that remain dark. Perhaps this is an area that needs special attention. Draw your consciousness to that area and invite the light to cleanse it of any impurity or dysfunction. Release any tension in that area. Release any negative emotions. Replace it with the light of love.

If this is an area of disease, try to see the disease. What does it look like in your imagination? This is your own personal image. It need not be scientific. It can be symbolic.

Imagine that healing is taking place. The disease is not part of you, it is but a temporary obstacle to full health and functioning. In your mind’s eye, see the dysfunction being removed. Create a picture in your mind of the healer. It might be a person, or group of people or animals, or machines, or forces of nature working on your illness. What are they doing to help you? Get a clear picture. Take as much time as you want to let the process continue. Remember the images you have created so that you can return to them and continue the inner healing later on.

Regular practice is more likely to bring the results you seek than sporadic longer sessions. The time just before you go to sleep and right after you awaken are excellent times to practice.

Remember the light, so that you can shine it any time you want. Make it a habit to clear your mind and heart with a loving white light. Surround yourself with it to ward off negativity. Use the gold and green shimmering light to focus your healing power. Fill yourself with light to lighten your inner world. Use it to wash away obstacles and blocked energy.

Visualize your body as whole and healthy. See yourself as your perfect self.

Lynn, I forgot to add HEALING HUGSso I sent some via a candle in the ALL group. Lots of Love.

Today I am grateful to the garden and computer Angel (who are one and the same) who has been busy sorting some new Anti-virus protection for my PC and installing it for me. He also gave me a lift home from a hospital appointment first.

I'm also grateful to my doctor who removed a cyst from the top of my head without shaving a single hair. The
only evidence is two little blue sutures.

Jude

Tonight I am grateful that a very nasty thunderstorm has gone over before bedtime, and I hope it doesn't come back to wake me up later in the night.

Dear Lynn, Ditto on all of Jude's many many many hugs including especially the healing hugs. May their prayful love wrap round and enfold you. Know that much prayer and candles come your way.
Jude, I am glad to hear that the cyst was nothing serious. May I borrow your garden angel to become a kitchen angel. With a microwave, toaster, coffee pot and pots and pans in the living room, and everything covered with a thick layer of drywall dust, right now a kitchen angel would really be a blessing.
Edda, prayers that Leon continues to heal completely. Blessings on you and your prayer group.
Juliana, I haven't even given a thought to September yet. I am sorry.
Am just too tired to finish this tonight.

Thank you, Betty, for your prayers. Leon's blisters are healed but the medications he has to continue don't agree with him. Hopefully we can discontinue them soon.

Our prayer group is going strong. It is good to be part of such a diverse and yet single-minded group of so loving and caring people.

Edda

Today I am grateful the storm didn't come back and wake me. Instead I was woken at 6am by my neighbours emptying their gazebo roof of gallons of rain water!! Then of course, I went back to sleep for nearly 4 hours. Oh well....it is Saturday.

Edda, what a drag that Leon's medication is upsetting him. I too hope he can leave it off soon.

Betty, I hope you have had a good night's sleep and feel rested. I can readily identify with your house as it is at the moment. That dust gets just everywhere, and there is nowhere which makes more mess in a house than a disrupted kitchen. Except perhaps, (a memory has just popped up) when one's husband gets up early and sweeps the chimney without anything to stop the soot getting everywhere, and the clean baby clothes hung up to dry overnight are now black!!!!! That was at least 38 years ago, but I've never forgotten it. I didn't have a washing machine or dryer in those days.
Lynn, Sending you some more Healing Hugs.

Love to all, Jude

Today I am grateful to the 'computer angel' who spent a large part of today trying to sort out a computer problem for me.
May he be blessed.
