Today, I am very grateful for the "bouquets" of very special memories that just popped in completely unannounced and for no particular reason. They were/are as fresh and vibrant as beautiful bouquets of fresh summer flowers arrayed in the splendor of the morning dew as their gentle fragrance encompassed me and brought the same peace and tranquility of first time experienced. Lynn, dear, you are in my heart and prayers as you face all your dr. appointments. Welcome to my club. Sometimes I wish it were only 1 step back. There are those times when it seems to be only 1 step forward and 3 back. Jude, your comment about the stargazers reminds me to say another little prayer for you and Gemrock each time I see them. Imee says to send you a giant hug for how far you have come in your relationship with your ex. Bravo that he can no longer so adversely affect you. It is so good to read your recognition of how much you have grown. It is good to accept help from others since that allows the blessing to be on them for helping. Barbara, welcome to the world of attempting to become a human BEING rather than a human DOING. Having been to both Our Lady of the Snows and the Cenacle in Chicago, obviously my pick is the Cenacle since I live only about 20 minutes from Our Lady of the Snows. It is very touristy since it is a national shrine and also very expensive. Maybe "Mom" is waiting for you at the Cenacle since she went there often. With finances as tight as they are for all, there ought to be some retired professionals that could lay your kitchen floor at a much more reasonable price since you would not be paying for some corporate CEO's million dollar salary. Bubbles, one can almost feel the peace coming through your post about your morning walk through the park. Health, job, and a place to live are such special gifts and your sadness about the homeless resonates in your post. Juliana, each day I tell myself that I must begin planning Mattli especially since I don't know if there are any preconditions for using only frequent flier miles. There couldn't be more agreement about what a blessing and gift it is to live in this technological age. We would never have met, nor would I have met any of those who have become "forum family." That would be a tremendous loss. As far as the lack of communication, having lived only with males for the past 40 years, it seems like that's just the way most men are. Maybe it has something to do with that "stiff upper lip" and "big boys don't cry" or as a strong relationship with mom in the states is referred to "don't be a mama's boy." Edda, it is good to read that Leon was able to get his ID. There are so many really good caring people in this world that we never hear about. It has become a personal campaign, when an company's employee has gone out of their way to be helpful, to obtain the name of that individual's boss and write a little note or email to let management know what an exceptional employee they have. Prayers for you, dear, that you take as good of care of you and your needs as you do Leon's since Edda is the Holy One's daughter just as Leon is the Holy One's Son. Blessings and prayers for all of you, RJ, T.O., Lori, Marie, Bernie, and all who stop to read the posts. May we all be open to the little loving surprises the Holy One has planned for each of us this weekend. (HHHHHHMMMMMM --that Imenuff really should post more often so she wouldn't write such long posts!!!)
