Although I haven't been by in a couple of weeks, I have been thinking about and praying for you all. You're very special to me.

I was going to light candles for you, but right now I'm nauseated. I have had a bout of arthritis which has given me much pain. First, the doctor prescribed something for me which made me itch like mad; and now the one I'm taking, Darvocet, nauseates me to no end. The good thing is that the pain has subsided and I'm not going to take it anymore for now.

Edda, I'm glad Leon is doing better; it made me very happy to hear it. J, I have lit a candle under group Scott a couple of times, but it seems there's another gang in there.

God bless all of you, and all the new members I haven't met. By the way, I'm going to try to get a hold of Blue to see what's going on with her. I see that she hasn't been around here for a while -- although I don't know the specifics.

so good to hv u back. i'm so sorry to hear of ur arthiritis.
i hv it in the knee and lately it was making me drag thru life.
then this may i took off to an ayurvedic( ancient indian science of medicine)
resort.there i had massages etc but wat helped me d most was yoga and d jest
and pep has returned with so much improvement in my knee.
plz write back on my id and i'll share more with u.

Dear Emil,

It is good to hear from you! I have missed you! I am sorry about your arthritis. The trouble with many medications is that they relieve one problem and their side effects cause another one. I, too, have trouble with pain medications, one doesn't work, another upsets my stomach, and the stronger ones make me so drowsy and unsteady that I won't take them unless I absolutely have to. So I can sympathize with you! I am glad your pain is better now!

Hi Emil, good to hear from you. Sorry to hear that you have not been well, hope you are feeling better. Someone told me that aromatherapy oils can be effective sometimes for arthiritis. Having a constant physical pain is so draining in all sorts of ways, keep your spirits up. Warmest wishes Glenys x

Hi Emil,
Great to see you on the Forum. Don't worry about the candles - intention is all, as I'm often saying

We have been lighting them for you instead.

Natural remedies are very effective for arthritis. I've had it for 30 years or more and am better now than ever have been. Diet too can play a big part. I have to say I stay away from drugs as much as possible because of the side-effects.

Emil,

My thoughts and prayers are always with you. J is very right about natural remedies!! They have taken care of so many physical pains for me!! But nothing is better than pure sweet prayers. So I offer some up to you tonight and thank God for the grace of being able to pray for such wonderful people like yourself!

Emil - welcome back!! Hope you are feeling better.

We are all concerned about "blue" . I did start a thread for her. Looks like she checked in a couple of days ago, but did not post. Sounds like she having a bout with the "darkness". I hope that she comes back soon & lets us know how she is doing.

Dear Edda: Thank you for your nice note. I think I understand your hesitation about taking stronger pain medications since my mother, who is 82, is afraid of taking them because she says she could fall. I'm sorry to hear you suffer from aches and pains, as well. But, we've got to keep on truckin' (like they said in the seventies).

I am feeling better and will try to make it here more often because I do miss you all.

Glenys! So nice to hear from you. Hope you and Mair, and the rest of your loved ones are doing fine.

The aromatherapy sounds really good. I have been to shops that have all the different products and you come out of there feeling renewed from all the different aromas. I will have to stop by one of them. Thanks for the suggestions.

Dear J: You're such a nice lady, and I hope you're doing better. I read about your latest problems and hope that everything has fallen back into place, and that you, Scott, and your granddaughter are living in harmony. I also pray for Maurice and your other sister.

I will have to look at the diet side of battling arthritis. I had never heard of that. It is a troublesome ailment, isn't it. I thank God that I have barely ever had bouts of it.

Dear Vicky: Nice to hear from you. I hope Carrie and Scott are doing well, and that the baby is growing and healthy. I'm sure this baby will be a great blessing to all of you.

Earlier, I wrote an email to Blue. Maybe some of you already have. I told her I missed her and that she was being missed here, as well. I told her she had the right to her privacy, but that I just wanted to let her know that, basically, she is loved.

thanks for letting us know you emailed Blue. I hope she will respond.

The thing about Arthritis and diet is well known, but not accepted by a lot of doctors. Animal fat is thought to be a culprit, and most of us were brought up on plenty of that!

Look it up on the web - I'm sure you will find plenty of info. Some the natural remedies are now being accepted by doctors, they just don't promote them.

Hi Emil, thanks for you kind words. Mum is doing remarkably well considering how ill she has been and what the prognosis was - amazing! I am also doing o.k, juggling work, family ,looking after mum etc. BUT ( bad grammar I know!), I am truly grateful for the many many blessing bestowed daily, some of which I know I do not recognise as such until time has passed .
I hope things are o.k with you, nice to hear from you again. Praying for all the blessing that you need to be yours this day and always. Glenys x
