Zach,11 and Jaxsen,8, brothers from Douglas, GA, both have Chronic Granulomatous Disease,CGD. Their white blood cells do not work at all, so their chance of getting infection is high and when they do get one, it is hard for them to fight off. The wonderful news is that CGD can now be cured through bone marrow transplants. These boys start a long journey the day after Thanksgiving, 2008, at Duke University where they'll begin bone marrow transplant treatment. Light a candle asking God to take care of them throughout their long journey.

I'll be glad to light a candle for Zach and Jaxsen. I'll put it into the ALL group and mark it 4Z&J. Perhaps you would like to start a candle group for them considering the the length of the impending treatment time. I pray with you that all will go well.

Gayle - Welcome to the forum. Blessings to Zach & Jaxsen for their bone marrow transplant journey.
My friends 16 yr old son just received a bone marrow transplant due to leukemia on 11/21 at Children's Memorial in Chicago. He is doing fine so far. It is a long journey, but thanks to donors these kids can live.

Good luck and I pray that they both do well and recover quickly.
