As one ponders the human situation it's very difficult to feel optimistic at times, when there's so much greed, chaos, & horror running amuck. Existentially, situationally, the world & life, for instance, can seem hopelessly stressful, futile; however, there's hope & healing looming on the horizon that takes place even in the worst of crises which which miraculously have positive, constructive outcomes... Too often negative, destructive forces, though, seem to prevail, albeit oppositional, contending, clashing forces, indeed, have to be integrally, creatively integrated & unified, so that greater harmony may manifest, beome reified, w/ a more fully developed harvest in life coming into being, into fuller fruition of inner-realization, ad infinitum, not ad nauseam.

Hi Bernie, Welcome to the forum.

A good friend of mine, who was also the one who awakened me to the spiritual path, said some 15 years ago or so that the world as we know it was going to be really shaken up, and many of the established powers etc would probably come crashing down.

This was in order to bring the change for the better, which might take tens or even hundreds of years, depending on how much we fought back.

I think we are in the thick of it now, and I can see now, why this friend told us to keep our heads and stick to the spiritual life, as this was the only way we would come through. We have to believe there is a better world coming, even if it isn't in our life-times, and I believe we can already see it coming. People are changing rapidly now; it will be very rocky, and the very foundations of our present world will be tested and shaken. Also, our personal relationships would be tested in the same way, and they certainly are being.!!!!!

Another friend thinks it is all very exciting.[:D] I haven't reached that place yet, but it is interesting seeing all the things my first friend forecast.
