From Allpoetry.com members, please light a candle in memory of Riley Ann Sawyer, 2 yrs. old, brutally beaten and killed by her mother and stepfather because she had bad manners. Also in memory of all children who suffer from abuse daily.

Welcome to the forum, Melanie! I wish it was under less painful circumstances. There are really no words for such cruelty. Whenever I hear of such actions I can't help wondering whatever happened to those adults that enables them to harm children.
I, too, will light a candle for Riley Ann.
