I learned yesterday, that my best friend died. We grew up together, & our mums we best friends as young girls, & throughtout their lives. I don't know why I'm even writing this, or even what I want. All I know is, I feel so very sad, and empty, like theres a big hole in me. I guess, maybe, I would like a prayer for her.
I've been on this site a few times, and see the encouragement given here, as I know very well it's needed.
I thank all of you for giving me the time here. Oh yeah, my name is Fay, & my friend who past was Jean, we are both only 57 years old.

Dear Fay, welcome to the forum! I am so very sorry for your loss. I can understand the emptiness you feel having experienced the loss of a friend I had known since my childhood for nearly sixty years. This place in you is now filled with deep sadness. As time goes on it will gradually be filled with all the good memories you have. I don't know what your beliefs are, but I believe that my friend is still close to me, perhaps closer than when we communicated across an ocean.

I will keep you and Jean in my prayers and light a candle for Jean in the ALL group.

Thank you so much Edda. My beliefs are; I know God is near, I believe very strongly that there are angels watching over us, & I know Murley Jean, is probably having the time of her life right about now. I am so thankful for this site, because it gives great comfort to all who need it. I will pray for you as well, and for all who need prayers. The comfort that you have bestowed upon me today, is appreciated more than you can imagine, I want you to know, you have touched my heart. I can't say thank you enough. May the angels watch over you today and always.

Dear Fay,
I'm glad you came to the Forum to write about your friend.
I think you came because you wanted to give expression to your grief. Sometimes we don't know how to express things, and writing them down often helps.
Also you knew that you were speaking to friendly people who would understand.

Do come again, we all need each other - well that's my view anyway, and I've also been so grateful for this site.

By the way, my daughter is called Jean.

Thank you so much Jude, I think you're right. I know I have to let myself grieve, but I also know this site helps alot of people. I want everyone to know that my prayers are here for everyone, and I know they work. I think , I'm missing her right now, but I also have been remembering the fun times in our lives, and how she always seemed to make me laugh.

I am sorry for the loss of your wonderful friend Jean. You have many years of memories to remember the times you shared together. I know your heart is full of sorrow at this time, but it will begin to fill with precious memories that will make you smile and laugh again.
