Id like to say hello to everyone here. I am a total BELIEVER in 'being grateful'! I have been writing a 'GRATITUDE LIST" almost every day in my journal for many years now. Even in the midst of 'stuff' that might SEEM to be bad that is happening around me when I sit down to write my gratitude list I always tend to have a LONG list of things Im thankful for. (Funny how that works?)

Anyway Im so glad to have found all of you. I hope I can be a part of this site and contribute to it often.

My name is MIchelle and I am a 46 year old vocalist/composer/guitarist and visual artist. I am GRATEFUL for all of my talents today and I KNOW I am being led to all the 'right avenues for my expression'.

Thanks for allowing me to share!

:)

Michelle
welcome and I included a message to you in my "Today I am grateful" post. I became so excited as I read your post...the day I saw it I was very discouraged about my own home office and organization...even though it is not technically art...it seems to be my Artistic expression I also try to write...my Dad was an artist and I spent lots of time as an impressionable child in art colonies and Art Institute classes with my Dad I dare say when I had to go to regular shool I was resentful!!!!! Well thank you for helpng me back on track and I too hope to get my home business off the ground.Congratulations and send me some of your links and I will forward them etc.....
warmly

Thankyou all for the kind welcome. I am really working on being GRATEFUL for 'this moment' today. This moment , this present moment is ALL THERE IS..and therefore the affirmation I use every day driving to my art gallery is..

"ALL THERE IS IS THIS PRESENT MOMENT> IN THIS PRESENT MOMENT THERE IS PERFECT PEACE.'

Im also reading books by Joe Vitale who states that the 'key' to happinesss is to be 'HAPPY NOW'..not LATEr or Tomorrow or WHEN we get to our goal etc.

I find this soooo helpful to realize that if we can be happy and GRATEFUL in THIS MOMENT that we will be happy. Its pretty simple.

Dear Michelle, I apologize for being so remiss in welcoming you to the forum. As I looked at the last name you have posted, the thought crossed my mind "How could you be anything but an artist??"

I love that!! There are times when I just want to be the petulant little foot stomping child that I will just refuse to go to my gratefulness list and write because I know what will happen. The petulance will end and the temper tantrum will blow away on the wind and at that particular moment, the little girl just wants to throw her fit.

Welcome to the forum. We look forward to many more posts from you.

Betty, I had no idea you and I have so much in common.  I thought for a minute you were writing about ME!  I want that feeling of righteous indignation, just for a little while!  And then my gratitude list just goes and spoils it all.
