Imenuff -> May I ask your Prayers (1/2/2008 3:41:27 PM)
To all of you who also visit Grateful Living Practice I have started a candle group under the initials "S.J." (Safe Journey). I ask that you join me in prayer and candles for a very dear friend who has been a real mentor to me in my own spirituality and in my work as a spiritual companion and an unbelievable friend. He leaves tomorrow for six weeks on an 8 country visitation trip to visit their missions/houses in these countries for his religious order. Several of the countries are in Africa in regions that are not particularly safe. Please include your prayers and candles for him for the next six weeks for a safe journey. The health risks were made very clear to him when he got his vaccinations. The physical risks to his personhood are determined by the amount of insurrections/wars in the various countries he must visit. I will keep you updated if he ends up somewhere where he has access to a computer and the internet. I will forward the link to the candle group before he leaves so that he is aware of how much prayer is being sent heavenward for his safety and well being.
NAMASTE!

Dear Betty,
I have already read your message in the candle forum and lit a candle for your friend and mentor. I will also keep you in my prayers as you are deeply concerned about someone so dear to you.
Love, Edda

Someone sent this to me , it embodies one way I always hoped I could feel about Christmas... "Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having in spirit, become a child again at Christmas time" Laura Engalls. The previous post was meant to go in Inspiring Quotes apparently I typed it in the wrong place sorry and no way do I demean the seriousness of this request. Hope coach

Dear Betty, I lit a candle for your concern this morning and also wrote a post. Strangely, it is no longer here... I will go on lighting candles, remembering the time when my son was on a march of 1,300 km on foot through northern Kenya and Uganda, from which he returned safe and sound.

I promised I would keep you updated. He has made it safely through 2 countries and into Australia for a couple of days after which begins the trek through the African Countries. From an email --"Thanks much to you and your prayer companions for your support." May we also hold all those in prayer who are suffering so much in those Third World African countries.
