Thank you, Leanda!

Psalm 23 is one of my favorite psalms! It gives comfort to many! The Lord is truly our shepherd!

Much love and warm hugs,

Edda, Dear, Prayers for you and Leon tomorrow. May you have a safe and peaceful trip home in spite of the weather Hopefully you were able to get all the transitional remodeling work finished. I pray that things may be a bit more peaceful for you since you won't need to walk to the hospital each day. Blessings on you both.

Thank you, Betty! The grab bars and the hand rails are in place. Leon won't be discharged until Thursday, which is just as well considering the snowy, icy weather that has broken in.

Wishing you everything good,
Edda

Edda and Leon,
Although I cannot be there to personally welcome Leon home after being in the hospital, I want to be one of many to welcome Leon home. Welcome home Leon!

Betty, Thankful one, Lori,

Thank you for your welcoming home messages and prayers! We made it home in a Medicar with the usual delays, of course, and while it was snowing heavily. I quickly went in for my snow shovel to make a path for the wheelchair since there is a lengthy path between the street and our front door!
Betty, if you are still longing for snow, we have an abundance to share!!!
Thankful one, you find the greatest pictures for all occasions including this one!
Lori, thank you for all your candles!

This evening and tomorrow (apart from shoveling more snow) we have to see how we can make everything "work" in the house and try to clear away some of the chaos including getting rid of the hospital bed.

Edda

Edda I am happy to hear that Leon is home. Please give him a "Welcome Home" from me. It feels as if we should have a party, we all have been praying for this day for him, and will continue to.

The snow is still coming down here around 5 inches now, I heard as many as 10 inches expected.
My shoveling will wait until tomorrow. I think we have had enough snow already. LOL

God Bless
Marie

Edda, Dear, The Chaos will keep for a bit, and I am sure someone else can help with all the snow shoveling. Your post sounds like you are rushing hither and yond trying to do everything at once. Maybe once Leon is settled for the night, it might be good to just prop your feet up and have a nice warm cup of tea and listen to some soft, gentle music. You do need to take care of Edda, too, and give her a little break even if it is only for a half hour. Much prayer goes your way that there will be quiet peace in the midst of the chaos. Now that Leon is back home, it wouldn't help much if Edda got sick. Take care of you dear. Peaceful dreams!

Marie, thank you for your welcome home and prayers. Now that Leon can come upsstairs I may be able to show him some of the posts even though he does not see very well.

Betty, thank you for your care and kind advice. You don't need to worry about me too much, I am fine. Leon does not feel well surrounded by too much "stuff". Also, if he does not have enough space to move about he might hurt himself!
I am not the only one shoveling. Actually, I LIKE shoveling snow! (Isn't it good to like doing something that has to be done?)

Good night, everyone!
Edda

Betty, I hope you are having fun! This morning we woke up to a load of snow. My neighbor and I shoveled - it was "woman power"!  It is still snowing lightly and another round is due soon!
Leon was so happpy sleeping in his own bed - the first time in more than 9 months! The hospital bed will be picked up on Monday which will give us a lot more breathing space downstairs.

Have a great snow day!
Much love and warm hugs,
Edda

Dear Edda and Leon,
What lovely news. I hope Leon will soon be feeling quite happy in his surroundings, and yes, how great to sleep in one's own bed!!

I have to say I don't like snow, (apart from looking at it!) and am glad we don't have any, although it is forecast. I'm impressed by your enthusiastic snow-shovelling!

Take care both, have a lovely weekend.

Love Jude

Thank you, Jude, for your good wishes! Not only is Leon happy to be able to sleep in his own bed (he has to work for it climbing a flight of stairs!) but his appetite is vastly improved as well!

Have a peaceful weekend,

Much love,  Edda

Welcome Home, Leon!
Our prayers for a speedy recovery for Leon were all answered. I can imagine how happy he must be to be home and finally sleeping in his own bed.

Continued healing and good health to both of you. You both certainly had to wait a long time for this. Bless you both.

We got 10 inches of snow here, so I did not go to work today. I had to shovel 3 times already because it keeps snowing. Edda, you be careful shoveling.

WELCOME HOME!!
I hope that my card made it to you.
Love, Vicky

Dear Edda,
How wrong I have been assuming that you did not have time for posting while being fully occupied with adapting your rooms and getting Leon home! It is only now that I have seen what has been going on on this Forum (and at your place in Chicago!) You seem to be an expert at "multi-tasking" - a term, which everybody is talking about here these days.
"WILLKOMMEN" from me, too!

Juliana

Dear Vicky, thank you for your kind words! I thank you for sending a card which has not yet arrived. Things do have a way of disappearing!
I shoveled twice yesterday and twice today. It stopped snowing now. I don't know with how many inches of snow we were blessed, but it looks like 10 -12! The cardinal in the tree in front of my window is not concerned as long as my neighbor keeps her allegedly squirrel-proof feeder filled with bird food.

Dear Juliana, what brings me back here and keeps me posting are all these kind and caring messages!  I am not so sure about multi-tasking, but while the machine washes the laundry, etc. I can come back here and read the posts in the various threads.
Thank you, too, for your welcome home to Leon!

Much love to both of you,
Edda
